Girls Of The Internet return to Luke Solomon’s imprint with the tender house track ‘Affirmations’. Their debut release on Classic in 2017, ‘When U Go’, established the group as ones to watch, and in the six years since they have connected house, soul, disco and garage into one recognisable and modern aesthetic. The sweeping cut features vocals from the experienced and versatile Anelisa Lamola, who established herself in the 2021 musical ‘The Color Purple’ and closed BBC Radio 1’s Dance Weekend the following year. 

‘Affirmations’ was co-written by burgeoning UK soul star Sophie Faith, with soulful lyrics supported by an uplifting string quartet arrangement that leaves a lasting impression. With their 2020 album ‘Girls FM’ gaining support from the likes of Pete Tong and The Blessed Madonna, the house band, spearheaded by Tom Kerridge deliver another striking release on Classic.

Robert & Lyric Hood’s globally revered house and techno project, Floorplan, return to Luke Solomon’s Classic imprint with ‘Like Dat’. As an early member of Detroit’s Underground Resistance, Robert Hood understands what it is to be the vanguard of a genre, now celebrating his faith through gospel inspired dance music with his daughter Lyric Hood. Together as Floorplan, the pair have built a strong relationship with Classic over the years, earning the respect of tastemakers like Seth Troxler, Dan Shake, TSHA and Jamie Jones thanks to their unmistakable gospel house and techno sound. Recent releases like UK radio favourite ‘We Give Thee Honor / Makes Me Wanna’ and underground cuts ‘The Curse Breaker / What You Need’ further proved Floorplan’s willingness to show their full talent at every turn. Multifaceted producer duo Makèz and cross-genre rapper Pinty kick start Classic’s 2025 catalogue with ‘Loosen Your Bones’. Following an incredible year which saw Makèz release their fourth EP on Heist Recordings and dominate ADE with their infectious energy, the Dutch duo impressed Classic boss Luke Solomon as they closed out the label’s stage at Defected Malta back in October 2024. For their Classic debut the pair enlist Pinty, a poetic and introspective rapper with releases on Rhythm Section plus an acclaimed mixtape - Pinty’s House. Together the three friends present ‘Loosen Your Bones’, an addictive, high-tempo record laced with jazz influences that demonstrates a knowledge of dance music beyond their years. Amsterdam producer and DJ duo Makèz re-unite with LA vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Life on Planets for their next Classic outing, ‘Give It Life’. The frequent collaborators have made waves together since first track ‘Downstream’ drew the attention of tastemakers like Louie Vega, The Martinez Brothers, and Mr. G, with follow-up track ‘Running From The Noise’ appearing on Makèz’s 2024 EP Midnight Time. In February 2016 Midland made his contribution to the hugely influential BBC Essential Mix series. The end of the mix came in the shape of an unreleased track that would go on to soundtrack dance floors and festivals the world over. That track was 'Final Credits.' Since its creation in the depths of winter to its vinyl release in June, with weekly airings everywhere from Panorama Bar to DC10 to Dekmantel Festival, the record has united dance floors and become one of the most unlikely tracks of the year. As the summer disappeared, calls for a full release of 'Final Credits' have swelled, and now, thanks to The Classic Music Company we're delighted to say this is becoming a reality.

David Macias aka Cratebug is the latest addition to the Classic Music Company family. Luke Solomon, Derrick Carter and Honey Dijon have been championing Cratebug edits for a few years now, whilst among the DJ edits world he has become a bit of an enigma, his most notable edit being one with Jamie 3:26 entitled ‘Hit It n Quit It’. Looking for a perfect opportunity to feature Cratebug on the label, Classic jumped at the chance when David sent Luke ‘Melondrop’. The track carries all the flavour of one of Cratebugs’ classic edits but with some added madness to boot. Re-edited by Luke Solomon himself, this is set to be added to the list of Classic pumpers for life.

It’s business as usual for the fast-rising French producer, who is yet to put a foot wrong this year. Originally committed solely to vinyl in May 2017, now Soul Reductions’ disco-infused gem ‘Got 2 Be Loved’ is given its highly anticipated digital outing on Classic. When Mike Dunn released his Classic Music Company debut ‘My House From All Angles’ last year, the album was met with critical acclaim, The Guardian writing: “God may have made him funky, but Mike Dunn has kept it going ever since.” Now, two stand out cuts from the LP are given the remix treatment, enlisting some of the label’s closest cohorts to re-work these two irresistible hip-house jams. Up first, Peppermint Jam boss Mousse T. opens the release, weaving in his signature bouncy melodies and funk-flavoured grooves into ‘If I Can’t Get Down’. Up next, Classic label-mate and house expert Oliver Dollar brings in a raw, edgier sound on his Boomty Mix of ‘DJ Beat That Shhh’, with an aptly bumping bassline. Classic label boss Luke Solomon provides his Clubland Remix of ‘If I Can’t Get Down’ next, enlisting funky guitar riffs and energetic percussion.
