Story
Immortal Snake: The Serpent of Time
At the dawn of the world, when the gods were still debating the fate of the elements, a creature was born that belonged neither to heaven nor earth. Her name was Sihura, the Immortal Serpent, woven from obsidian scales and with eyes that contained extinct constellations.
Sihura had no beginning or end. Her body coiled around the axis of time, each twist marking an era. When humans learned to speak, it was because Sihura whispered words to the volcanoes. When the oceans retreated, it was because she dreamed of deserts.
But her immortality was not a gift. It was a punishment.
The gods, fearful of her power, condemned her to wander between worlds, belonging to none. Every thousand years, Sihura must choose a human host to share her consciousness. The chosen one gained wisdom, longevity, and cosmic vision, but also suffered visions of impossible futures and pasts that never happened.
Many sought her out: kings, shamans, musicians, poets. Some found her in dreams, others in caves where time stood still. But only one per millennium was worthy.
It is said that the last host was a child born under a triple eclipse, who turned his breath into melody and his shadow into a serpent. With Sihura inside, he sang the stories of the universe in forgotten languages, and his voice made the stars weep.
