This is painfully beautiful. I just closed my eyes and let it sink in.

Sublime. The string technique, for example at 1:52 to 2:04, is miraculous. The felt of the (prepared?) piano enhances the sense of lightness of touch, mirroring the delicate gentle weight applied to the strings. Magnificent work.

Wonderful moment and atmosphere, sweet and really beautiful :)

The overall control - realisation, performance and arrangement of voices, keys and strings - is stunning.

This piece felt like a sad poem for someone who has lost a loved one.

As You Asked is not a piece about certainty, but about trust — the kind that is born when two souls meet through creation. As if the piano itself understood the question and, without hesitation, simply replied: as you asked.
It was born from an exchange between Francesco Adornetto and Jessica Brown Bains, from a simple phrase that holds an entire intention: to offer something genuine, without hesitation. Each note is a wordless reply, a musical gesture that doesn’t aim to explain, but simply to be — like lifelong friends — just as requested, just as felt.
Within the flow of the composition, there is a delicate balance between listening and revealing. The higher phrases — quick and fleeting — feel like whispered thoughts, while the deep and steady foundation tells of a profound intimacy, one that reveals itself only to those who know how to ask sincerely.
