2014 stands as a defining moment for the RAM Records imprint. Carefully finessing this album, the Ram imprint is about to drum & bass for a transatlantic journey. It’s a showcase of what the genre can offer… electric vibes which pulses through its veins and cherished memories of a tempo which pulls you into the morning’s early hours.

But with the Miami conference pedestalling every major genre which has made electronic music so popular, there would be a void if Ram didn’t step up. There are also a huge selection of Vips to firmly solidify why it’s important to revisit tunes which are still to this day so highly sought after; leading the way is Loadstar’s ‘Under Pressure’ Vip, which set a stunning precedent in 2014.

So, now it’s time take the legacy of Hornchurch to Miami and lay down the same roots which are still prevalent throughout the UK today. And adding that to Miami’s reputation, it’s a match which is set to make history.


Wipeout

This track was created after going to see a friends Metal band. I started playing around with a few new plugins, but ended up with a 10 minute long recording of the session, from which I cut parts and then resampled, pitched, etc. I think this one was definitely inspired by tracks like Dust Up by Noisia & The Upbeats, and even myself and Mefjus' track, Void Main Void. The beat never actually changes and is just constant all the way through, not something I usually enjoy doing but it works extremely well in this case.

Emperor - Passed Up

Into Black was more of a stylistic choice. My music has always reflected a certain side of me that comes across naturally, particularly my Drum & Bass music. The sound of the EP was more of a throwback to my older sounds and influences, combined with newer elements; I spent a day sampling, then processing, cutting, re-arranging... although I also wanted for the EP to have it's main elements entirely synthesized. Spending time with my peers has taken me out of an old habit, inspiring me to create more. Into Black is a result of that.
