Dj, Producer and Liebe*Detail key artist Matthias Meyer hails from the quiet town of Lueneberg, near Hamburg, Germany. As a young, excited music lover, the hi-tech sounds of Detroit and Chicago spoke to Matthias, and encouraged him to seek the excitement and hustle of nearby Hamburg's diverse club scene. From here he let music take control, actively promoting this newfound scene in his local towns with the Sfunkt DJ collective, organising parties that would bring the electronic message to an otherwise dance-less area.

Together with the Sfunkt crew and his close friend and future production partner Patlac, Matthias began to play bigger and better venues, to more and more acclaim. His horizons began to broaden, and his production skills sharpened, seeing the release of his debut track, 'Reichenbach', on Hamburg's much-loved Liebe*Detail label in 2006. A tough and powerful, big-room bomb, Reichenbach summed up the Meyer's broad mixture of influences, from Detroit's technical wizardry to the musicality and experimentation of Germany's fresh faced electronic movement.

'Voltage', his second release was to follow with yet more hit potential, carrying a beautiful, resonating melody across a positively uplifting techno backdrop, but it was his release in the summer of 2008, 'Tout Va Bien,' that really defined Matthias Meyer's current musical direction. A long, meandering, deeply spaced percussive journey, full of intricate detail and raw, organic textures, the track received huge support and quickly brought the young musician's name even more into the light.

As the winter months of 2008 approached, and the buzz from 'Tout Va Bien' still worked its magic, Matthias collaborated with long-time friend and producer Patlac, creating another huge club moment entitled 'Skipper'. This was released on Liebe*Detail's 'Spezial' offshoot label, along with the equally moving track 'Salt City', to yet more praise. It seems these two projects really summed up Matthias' inner love not only for serious grooves, but real drama in his music. These are tracks full of uplifting, positive sentiments, painstakingly designed so that their sound and message comes through as clear as possible.

Matthias has broken through into spotlight thanks to his uniquely passionate take on the house and techno genres. His love of rich, energetic club music full of texture, life and heart propels him to work more and more. His work as a Dj allows him to bring this very human, endearing quality to an increasingly large audience.

In his eyes, the great joy of Djing house music is that, unlike in so many other scenes, he doesnt need to play pop hits to get dancefloor recognition. Instead, he can spin a long tale of rolling grooves and evolving, emotive musical stories that provoke a different, inner relationship between DJ and dancer.

R.I.P Bestia returns to Natura Sonoris with another euphoric EP. Titled ´African Burial Ceremony´, it consists of two beautifully nuanced originals and of an evocative Henry Saiz remix. ´Dreamlike melody meets all-enveloping atmospheres´ is how you could briefly describe the title track. It has a hypnotic tribal groove, which pulsates with subtleties and instruments, setting the tone for the chanting voices you hear throughout. It´s soft, it´s warm, it´s inviting but also musically rich, club driven and overall utterly satisfying. A second original of the EP, ´Own Empire´, is a more uptempo and faster-paced piece curated by powerful beats, spell-binding synthlines, enchanting vocals and acidic basslines turning the track into a real trip that will sink you into a fantasy state. Elegant and swirling, it will make you move whether you wanted or not. Last but not least is Henry Saiz´s take on ´African Burial Ceremony´ who crafted an organic, driving track lead by the original tribal layers, magical chimes, elegant drum fills and lush distorted vocals that guide us to the deepest corners of our minds. Saiz´s use of sonics has always been meticulous and sophisticated, always unfolding his signature touch, and this remix is no exception. He takes the natural tribal rhythm and enriches it with his own unique magic creating a truly psychedelic adventure and taking us deep into a mystical valley of cosmic delights and eclipsed totalities. This EP will no doubt leave a long-lasting impression on the many dancefloors it will effortlessly mesmerize. Music for Mankind ep. 017 feat. Bass Exotic

Clayton Steele’s love for electronic music began as a teenager in the early nineties when he started DJing at seventeen. He grew up in London, Ontario, Canada conveniently situated between Detroit and Toronto, which was ideal for molding his musical taste. He has since been known for his distinct sound and flawless sets.
The local record shop, “Doctor Disc” was flooded with underground Detroit music, which would captivate Clayton Steele for hours at a time and you could guarantee that his headphones were glued to his ears. Every weekend there was a party to choose from in Toronto or Detroit featuring artists such as Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Carl Craig, just to name a few.  There was also no shortage of European talent coming through as well.
Having such a rich exposure to all of this cutting-edge music shaped Clayton Steele’s unique style, which can be described as progressive-techno with an 80’s tinge, topped off with the occasional sultry new-wave vocal.  But, it was a move to the states in search of warmer weather, which would shift gears in the Canadian native’s head.  He found himself living in Las Vegas in the middle of the desert surrounded by mountains and decided to invest in a home studio and bring his dream of making his own music to fruition.  It certainly proved to be quite an undertaking, but there is no other way he would have it.

Then in 2008, he moved to Miami and began hosting/producing/writing Ultra Music Festival’s radio show, which airs on Sirius XM.  A couple of years later he decided to turn his focus back onto his own music and he has not looked back since. His music has garnered the attention of his fellow Canadian comrades, such as No.19 and My Favorite Robot. In March 2013, his EP “Passion”/”Sleepwalker” came out on No. 19, with the remix of “Passion” by DJ T quickly becoming one of No.19’s successful tracks. Fast forward to the present and Clayton Steele is in the studio stronger than ever and really looking forward to releasing consistent music on his label FAWN Recordings.  His most recent release was in 2018, “Lightning Flashes”, released on SCI+TEC.
