Grafik started fulfilling his DJ dream less than three years ago, during a time of restriction when he was given several opportunities by friends to play at secret parties. Since then, his passion for techno music has only deepened. His sets combine hypnotic, repetitive rhythmic elements with atmospheric deep drones. For him, techno is a way of telling a story, and he tried to carry that into this set.

For our thirteenth installment we’ve invited Aurelius Scott, a visionary curator and music selector from Denver, Colorado. 

Aurelius has always been attracted to deeper cuts of music, fascinated by the world of rhythmic drums and hypnotic ambiance. 

in 2020 he started a series Anodynic Frequencies that is dedicated to fellow musicians with the same passion for music. Since then he has connected with many talented individuals and has had the opportunity to work with many of them through guest mixes and promotions. 

It has been through this platform that we came in contact and talked about recording a mix for Hypnosis, of which you are now listening to the end result of it.

Some words by Aurelius about this mix:
"When I was first invited to the channel I wanted to paint a dreamlike landscape. Slowly drifting into the subconscious with subtle progression and brooding low ends. Eventually leading to a feverish current of rhythmic percussion before drifting deeper and deeper with layered sounds to curate a deep state of hypnosis"

HYPNOSIS 013 AURELIUS SCOTT

The co-founder of the podcast project CLCK and the Vyndaloo collective (which throws occasional small outdoor events with focus on family vibe), is fond of synthetic dark and psychedelic sounds as well as brighter organic sound combining sounds of nature, wooden instruments and "shamanic" elements. He often blends both positions within a single set and also projects them into his production. He doesn't limit himself too much in terms of genre. Besides the techno, house, electro or EBM he also likes to play more listenable genres like downtempo, chillout, ambient and various other purely listening stuff. In a time when it's fashionable to push the BPM at events often to the extreme, he finds more and more pleasure in slower tempo. Please welcome @michal-skaph

AF103 Skaph

John Paul Jones used these early Moog Taurus foot pedals on his electric piano to give the Rhodes-like oscillating sound that is just so lush. So the other day, the idea dawned on me when I was jammin out to the remastered version - to create a subtle edit using Jones' pieces of piano as the backbone of a deep/electronica track. I added some synth oscillations here and there, put the rest on a steady beat, and came out with an over 8-minute edit. 

It's nowhere near the legendary original, but I hope you enjoy:)

29.6.2017 / Jméno, které asi netřeba blíže představovat. V nedávné době vydal další dva z dlouhé řady releasů - další díl jeho ambientního projektu Missing a na FRESKY mu vyšlo EP Tonatyk. Momentálně pracuje na dalších. Do konce prázdnin má v plánu připravit ještě jednu "verzi" živáku, klidnější až do house music, a převést do koncertní podoby výše zmiňovanou "Missing3".
V letní sezoně ho budete moct slyšet např. na festivalech Beats for Love, DJs 4 Charity nebo Shotgun.
V podcastu uslyšíte jak jinak, než záznam jeho energického live setu.

12.7.2017 /Producent z Litomyšle, známý jako Name Does Not Matter, tedy NDNM (někteří jej můžou znát pod jeho starším nickem Side9000), pro náš podcast připravil svůj producentský set. Uslyšíte v něm tedy výhradně jeho vlastní produkci, kterou jste zatím neměli možnost nikde slyšet.
Za posledních 10 let mu pod různými jmény vyšly releasy např. na labelech Owntempo Recordings, Meanbucket, jeho vlastním S9K a spoustě dalších.
Brzy mu vyjdou EP na labelech Krmelec a Beef Records, následovat bude deska. K tomu se chystá release na jeho labelu S9K a vydání tracků z tohoto podcastu.
Na Radiu Punctum uvádí pravidelný pořad Automaton.

9.8.2017 / Hostem tohoto dílu je liberecký dj a holič Evil Boy (dříve známý jako Tedovsky nebo Morybundus), Liberečanům dobře známá postava. V minulosti vydal několik, tehdy ještě drum n bassových releasů na dnes již nefungujícím labelu Sun Side Recordings, který založil roku 2009. Od té doby přesedlal na rovné beaty a slyšet tak od něj můžete většinou house, nebojí se ale zabrousit ani do melodického techna. V současnosti zřizuje nové studio a znovu pracuje na vlastní produkci.

6.9.2017 / Do tohoto dílu jsme pozvali momentálně v Liberci sídlící slečnu, která si říká Noriss.
Žen, které nehrají diskotékové hity či to, čemu se dnes říká "EDM" je v naší republice pomálu, máme proto radost, že v podcastu po roce a půl zase jednu máme.
Noriss je součástí crew libereckého klubu 11th a tam ji taky můžete nejčastěji slyšet. Její parketou jsou různé odnože house music, především pak deep house.
V podobném duchu je i tento díl podcastu.
