2.9.2021 / Kosmic Skaut is a Brno-based DJ standing behind the ÉTER brand, under which, together with Obraz and Prozac, they organize events and a regular podcast series. He is also behind the establishment of Studio 410, which at a time when the city of Brno lacks a music dance club, is one of the few places where Brno DJs and producers can meet and actively collaborate and develop. 
This is especially true at the time of the government's measures in the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks to the pandemic and the joining of people around Studio 410 (especially Herna & ÉTER), a new Isolate project was created, under which a series of streams was released in the first (spring) pandemic wave, which you can still find today as sound recordings on the @easylate profile. In the second autumn wave, a new series of moderated podcasts "Čerstvý Matro" is created under Isolate about musical news on the electronic scene, where Kosmic Skaut performs in his show. Apart from Brno, Kosmic Skaut also does not forget his hometown Olomouc, where he has been organizing the “Michalský výpad” festival in the historical center of the city for 9 years, where he brings attractive and fresh names of the Czech electronic scene to the local audience.

2.9.2021 / Kosmic Skaut je brněnský DJ stojící za značkou ÉTER, pod kterou společně s Obrazem a Prozacem pořádají večírky, mejdany a pravidelnou podcastovou sérii. Dále stojí za vznikem Studia 410, které v době, kdy město Brno postrádá hudební taneční klub, je jedním z mála míst, kde se brněnští DJs a producenti mohou scházet a aktivně spolupracovat a vyvíjet se. Tohle obzvlášť platí v době vládních opatření v pandemii viru Covid-19. Právě díky pandemii a spojení sil lidí kolem Studia 410 (především Herna & ÉTER) vznikl nový projekt Isolate, pod kterým v první (jarní) vlně vyšla série streamů, kterou můžete i dnes najít jako zvukové nahrávky na profilu @easylate. V druhé podzimní vlně pod Isolate vzniká nová řada moderovaných podcastů “Čerstvý Matro” o hudebních novinkách na elektronické scéně, kde Kosmic Skaut vystupuje ve svém pořadu. Mimo Brno Kosmic Skaut nezapomíná i na svou rodnou Olomouc, kde již 9. rokem pořádá v historickém centru města festival “Michalský výpad”, kde místnímu publiku přináší atraktivní a neokoukaná jména české elektronické scény.

@yuquita-pe wrote the following to accompany his mix: "I gathered some of my favorite songs and artists, combining African, Asian, South-American, European as well as Middle Eastern fusions and legacies. 

DJing and digging the world's sounds is the way through which I try to understand language-culture expression. I wouldn't really defined my music tastes as attached to specific genres or styles, but if I must delimit it, I would go for styles that range from afrobeat, kwaito, latin, soca and zouk, down to experimental electronica, downtempo, balearic, italo-disco, pop, (acid) house, new beat, tribal and progressive trance!"

I could write paragraphs about the expression itself, but it was all in between melancholy, nostalgia, groove, and the power of guitars - just the way I love it with songs from artists I really admire.

Over the years, holding down several long running DJ residencies at local nightclubs & bars such as SmartBar (AcidTest), Zentra, Subterranean, Bar Deville and most recently providing vibes as weekly resident DJ at the Virgin Hotels. In addition to DJing out regularly, Joshua has also been working at Gramaphone Records, the legendary Chicago based record store since 2009.
