A short essay, I intend on releasing a full version of this inside my “manifesto” which will be accompanying the TOTAL MISANTHROPY EP (spring 2026). This “manifesto” will cover various topics including: data privacy, neoliberalism, online “cults” and more! Stay tuned.

The purpose of this project is NOT to glorify, romanticize, or encourage this type of issue in any way, shape, or form. The purpose, however, is to raise awareness about the rise in these cases (which seem to grow more and more as the days trudge forth), give possible solutions on how this could be avoided, and overall start up some dialogue about this shit. 
This song chronicles Trinity’s experience as a victim of the online sextortion “cult,” 764. The cult in question was comprised of several teenagers and young adults whose main goal was to exploit as many children as possible for laughs. In my opinion, the term “cult” is being used for nothing more than sensationalist nonsense. 764 claim to follow “satanism” yet their version recognizes Satan as a representation of “absolute evil” - not the secular humanist philosophy founded by Anton LaVey in the 60s. They also tend to play around with neo-nazi ideology from time to time, while having many POC members from around the world. They don’t actually follow any sort of dogma, nor do they partake in rituals (contrary to what news sources may suggest), and mainly utilize symbols like the pentagram for show. Long story short, they are using these concepts for nothing more than shock value, and are more akin to incel 4chan trolls than anything else.
From my understanding, 764 (and many other groups similar) utilize basic hacking techniques along with social engineering to manipulate young, naive children into performing increasingly depraved acts (including but not limited to: incest, murdering family pets, suicide, and more). With just a little bit of basic education surrounding OPSEC (web privacy) and communication, this type of situation is easily avoidable:
- Never use your real name online, use a nickname or initial
- Never reveal your location or any specific details of where you live
- Use a VPN to hide your IP address (there are many out there, proton vpn is free and has good reviews)
- COMMUNICATION: provide your child, or whoever, with a safe space to come forward and speak about sensitive information without fear of retribution. 
- Pay attention to body language, are they withdrawn? seem on edge? are they clinging tightly to their phones?
