Justin aka Roiju is a Miami-native, Boston-based Producer, DJ, and Event Curator specializing in leftfield club music with releases on Florida outfits Schematic, Omnidisc, Finesse Trax, and Space Tapes. While his music spans almost the last decade, his productions as of late better reflect his frenetic style of DJing, that ranges anywhere from fast Jungle, driving Polyrhythmic Dub Techno, and Speed Dembow, to the slower, more laid back sounds of Downtempo, House, and Miami Bass/Electro. p1no is a Venezuelan DJ/producer/engineer based in Boston, MA, born in Miami, FL. Its identity, culture, and upbringing have influenced everything it does since it started making music. Its style is a mix of flavors it grew up listening to, from breakcore/DnB to Techno/House to Guaracha/Tribal. Having just released its third album No1se, its music has evolved alongside its self-identity. Its music represents its psyche, manic breaks alongside chill beats; the goal, however, is always to make you dance. It is currently attending Berklee College of Music for Music Production & Engineering.

my name is Rami aka DRAGON and I love makeup, writing, and music. I am 1st gen Ecuadorian and currently live in central CT, and I am a hard techno girlie at heart. I found my footing as a DJ 4 years ago while galavanting across queer nightlife spaces in Boston. My taste in music is informed by music I listened to growing up, primarily latin and alternative genres. I never play a show without a smokey eye and lip combo:)

An avid music lover from a young age, HypeLies is a DJ born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Focused on sweet blends, tight drums, and booming bass, he began making short mixes in high school using Virtual DJ and bought his first deck at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, inspired to get back into his passion. Originally set on mixing hip hop, disco, and house, he later discovered UK rave music during the pandemic and has been spinning UK bangers ever since. Focused primarily on UK Garage, he also enjoys mixing Bassline, UK Funky, 2-Step, and more recently Jungle and Drum and Bass.  

HypeLies' DJing experience varies from supporting local rappers at venues such as Brighton Music Hall to mixing alongside DJ Boofy under the name "Grey Brim Boys" for their debut at Good Life Lounge in Downtown Boston for the Pvrple collective. He’s since performed sets at AboveGround’s Flavours events in Cambridge and Phibonacci’s Garage Sale in Lowell. In addition, he's dropped several mixes over the past 3 years on his SoundCloud, edging closer each time to his ideal sound. Transitioning from open format to solely mixing dance music, HypeLies hopes to be a pioneer and advocate for the UK rave scene state-side, believing it has the potential to be the next wave of electronic music to sweep the nation. He also hopes it can even influence the US hip hop scene, similar to the way the UK Drill sound has influenced the rap landscape over the last few years.

CTF007: HypeLies

I'm a designer and music producer based in Costa Rica. For the past 8 years, I've been honing my skills in production and DJing, exploring different formats and genres along the way. I've had the privilege of performing and residing in various places like Mexico, Spain, and currently Boston.

From the start, my focus with Raido has been on pushing the boundaries of different musical genres while emphasizing textures and soundscapes. My latest music aims to capture the ambiance of a nighttime jungle fused with the dystopian aspects of our modern world.

In my newest mix, I've delved deeper into Gqom and similar sounds, taking the opportunity to explore the genre further. The unreleased tracks in the mix represent some of my initial explorations with Gqom, and I'm excited to share that I'm collaborating with South African artists Emo Kid and Deejay Jackzin in the coming weeks to finalize a few Gqom tracks for an official release.

Continually thriving in Boston’s underground music scene is DJ, promoter, and lover of music, Jordan Graham. With over five years under his belt, Jordan has already dialed in on a broad yet distinguishable range of sounds that he blends seamlessly into one cohesive structure, reaching in the outer orbits of high-energy UK garage, electro, house, techno, minimal and trance. Jordan is an esteemed affiliate of Boston’s Break-Fast Collective, a dance series that manifests true rave euphoria through bouncing breakbeats fused with pulpous basslines. In addition to Break-Fast, he is also a resident and organizer for the Vertebrae party series—an appropriate fit given his music taste, and the infectious energy he brings on and off the dancefloor. Oral Allergy fuses international sounds with classic house and electronic beats to highlight the wide-ranging diversity of music. Emphasizing intersectionality, Oral Allergy pulls from her own identities. As a South Asian woman, she loves incorporating Carnatic music, Hindustani music, religious chants, and traditional instruments into her mixes.
