Inspired by years of train travel to her hometown of Brockville, Ontario, Standing on the Platform tells a story of letting go and looking forward. Rooted in contemporary folk, with jazz-inflected phrasing, Clela’s vocals are warm, honest, and quietly powerful, accompanied by sparse, acoustic instrumentation. The song blends poetic lyricism with a subtly expansive feel — like standing at the edge of change. Clela’s finger-picking acoustic guitar propels the melody with a hopeful message of faith and optimism.
