Summer has ended and Mellow Madness is back for the 7th season!

I'm lucky to host dj, producer, @deeply_rooted label boss, the one who's been a model, has inspired and continue to inspire lot of people to become a dj and to make music : @djdeepparis 😊 - who went into jazz-funk, soul, brazilan, electronic music & mooore for a 2 hours mix 🎶

This episode will be a bit special as it's a 3 hours show.
I'll take care of the first hour with music by Pharoah Sanders, Ramsey Lewis -
big though to all the artists who have left us this summer and past days. Thankfully new releases will cheer you up and surprise us!-

This month I was lucky enough to catch a guestmix from the wonderful talented singer-songwriter, keyboardist and band founder of @79point5 - Sister Kate aka Kate Mattison for the second part of the show ✨💜

Her band 79.5 has released their first LP - Predictions in 2018 on @bigcrownrecords which is in my top 20 records! it's a kinda celebration of fusion, between soul, funk, R&B, jazz and boogie "It’s disco to the beat of modern house; it’s a Supremes cover of a Cardi B banger; it’s Roland Kirk playing jazz through one saxophone, funk through another, and the most earwormy pop tune the 1970’s could muster through a third. It’s an experience." you got it?
I heard that some new projects are on the way and I really hope to see them live near me - hope you get the chance too!

Producing in solo, he’s now playing his shows with a live band! Together they offer a performance where the energy of the musicians and the audience meet and reproduce the same warmth and energy that was found in jazz clubs back then and electronic clubs now.

This month I'm glad to host @missmoon for the second hour of the show with a mix from abstract break beat to futur jazz and house.  
Djing since the end of 1990's MissMoon was a real activist for electronic music in the south of france, inspired Detroit techno and Chicago house. She's also from my hometown and I've played one of my first gig with her back in the days so it's quite symbolic to have her in the show 🙃
i'm still amazed to discover that this part of france has known the golden age of rave parties and electronic music when i was a little baby - looks like I was definitely not born at the right time.

@leseditionsvermillon has been launched in 2021 by four music aficionados with their inaugural compilation Le Grand Sud- Est: 1979-1986 which features forgotten gems from the South-East of France (Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur). 
You should check it out if you haven't already!  
A second compilation is set for 2024 (second half) and a track may be hidden in their mix. 👀
