While all Occulti Music releases continue to remain available strictly on vinyl format, the OCT:LTD label represents a new series of music from the Occulti Music group, focused on releasing VIP mixes of unreleased tracks as well as new material with an emphasis on the ‘dubplate’ cutting culture of days gone past.

This 3rd release in this series coming from label bossman Impish teaming up with buddy Skyweep and features the tracks “Hodge Close” and “Fleet Factors”.

Every once in awhile, a song comes along that deserves a special place in peoples’ lives. Walk:r & TEE:J, have created this special moment in D&B entitled, “Something About You”. The song is delicately crafted with soft atmospherics, lush embellishments, smooth female vocals, and perfect snappy, stripped down drums that let the soundscapes soar. Magic was created with the tune, and it has rubbed off on some of the leading Liquid producers who have proudly done the song justice with their intoxicating remixes. First up on the remix duties is the one and only, Silence Groove. The Slovakian Liquid producer, takes the listener into his world and inspires the deepest emotions with his interpretation of the song. His version includes, lush strings, chiming keys, heavily drenched vocals, dripping with effects, a Reese sounding bassline, and an expertly chopped up Amen drum loop. Next up on the remix duties are the up and coming duo, Low:r & Hiraeth, who have burst upon the scene with a string of beautiful releases. When teamed up for the remix, both of their signature sounds and styles come through to create a musical masterpiece. The song begins with lush strings, reverse efx, and melancholic keys. When the drop hits, extra layers are added to the drums, and a deep, bouncy bassline is introduced creating an infectious groove that makes you want to move. HumaNature, who hails from Portugal, adds his own flare to the classic tune. He uses epic pads, snappy drums, deep bassline, and a creative Rhodes loop, to create a hypnotic groove that oozes with summer vibes. Overall, this EP takes the elements from a classic song and gives 3 different, but extremely tasteful interpretations.

Still a relatively new name to the scene, Arcatype are a three-pronged production outfit forging influences from jungle, techno, ambient and jazz to create a unique sound, which fits neatly into the traditional framework of drum & bass.

A quality over quantity approach to their release schedule has seen them appear on respected labels such as Ingredients Records and C.I.A Records, with new material penned for release in 2018 and beyond.

Carving out their own space within the scene has allowed Arcatype to resonate strongly with the deeper, more thoughtful aesthetic of drum & bass. Over the last few years their attention to detail, clear emphasis on sound design and technical ability in the studio has captured the attention of fans and fellow producers alike.

Beyond this, Arcatype aim to continue building upon their solid foundations, evolving their sound and looking towards the higher echelons of the drum & bass world. With one foot rooted deeply in the past and the other pulling forward towards the future, it’s safe to say Arcatype are here to stay.

The EP is dedicated to mental health awareness and for those of us who struggle to find the resilience to manage the hardships life can sometimes unexpectedly throw at us. Phat Playaz has perfectly brought the musical sound to resemble the internal feelings of these challenges through heavy hitting bass in 'Cell and 'Battle'. Emotional and deep atmospherics in 'Look Away'. And finally, the title track 'Broken Man Inside' perfectly sums up what the ep is all about.

Last Night On Earth label boss Sasha has joined forces with the blossoming Swedish artist La Fleur for a collaboration "born out of a growing mutual respect for each other’s music and career path."

Their joint track, 'Förbindelse' (Swedish for 'connection), is a fruitful and potent dancefloor enhancer that showcases both Sasha and La Fleur's newfound sonic connection with one another.

"When I first approached Sasha to present some music for his label I couldn't have dreamt he would suggest a collab together," La Fleur says. "It was a great honour to say yes to the challenge. It has taken some time and a lot of drafts going back and forth to end up with this track together, when it just felt right."

‘Förbindelse’ drops on Last Night On Earth on Friday, October 26.
