The Sunrise Mixtapes is delighted to present our second guest-mix. Based in Leeds, UK, Andy Pye is the man behind the Balearic Social Recordings imprint, notable for releasing some mighty fine downtempo music on vinyl from the likes of Bonnie & Klein, Coyote, Tommy Awards and ...err us (Plastic Fantastic)!

Andy hosts the weekly Balearic Social radio show on Music For Dreams, also guesting on the bi-monthly radio show Sounds In Waves on Alto Radio, and the monthly radio show Paradise Social on 1BTN.FM.

Anyway, over to the mix. Sadly we don't have a complete track-list for it as it was recorded some time ago, but we have been able to ID a handfull of the selections on here, including ‘Joy Of Brass’ taken from Phil France’s rather brilliant LP Swimmer, released in 2013. ‘Accadde A Bali’ by Arawak, a rare and hence insanely pricey record, with original Italian pressings of the LP going for well over 1000USD on Discogs! Moving on, there’s some lovely jazz-funk/soft rock goodness, including Ströer's 'Some People' from 1980, and Richard Torrance's west-coast flavoured ‘Desert Lady’ taken from his 1978 LP Double Take, and sexadelic funk courtesy Susana Estrada’s ‘Gózame Ya!’, from her aptly titled 1981 LP Amor Y Libertad.
