This is a musical adaptation I did of one of my favorite E.E. Cummings' poems in 2001-2.  Flawed guitar and voice by me; beautiful words, obviously, by old Edward Estlin.

dive for dreams

This is the first song I wrote (and actually finished) circa August 2000.  It's a crush song penned for no one in particular — I just wanted to try my hand at the standard pop song format.  The version I recorded at the time involved my dad's cheap nylon-stringed guitar from Costco, and my voice sounds childlike and a bit nasal.  This one was recorded about a year later in my Flagstaff apartment, where the thin walls had me so self-conscious that I insisted on playing with the television on.  Still quite proud of this song, though I wish my voice was better.
