Procedente de la ciudad de Pereira, el productor Gotshell debuta en Bpitch Berlin con un amplio y potente EP de 8 pistas, con sonidos de sistema modular crujientes, producido en solidaridad con las protestas en curso en su Colombia natal.

Gotshell se hizo un nombre a través de apariciones en Mord, Planet Rhythm, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, EPM y Blueprint de James Ruskin. Prolíficas, diversas e impredecibles son sus producciones que entrelazan loops clásicos de techno de la vieja escuela, IDM, breaks y ruido experimental. Como intérprete en live,  sus sets son libres y psicodélicos, y han sonado en festivales como Freedom en Colombia y Jungle Groove en Ecuador, además de clubes underground en Chile, Argentina, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia y Tresor Berlin le han valido un seguimiento internacional.

Rezagados es un clamor contra la represión de la disidencia por parte del gobierno colombiano y la creación de lo que el productor llama una "realidad distorsionada que minimiza la esperanza".

A lo largo de 8 pistas, Gotshell está en pleno vuelo, desde el tecno rítmico cruzado retorcido hasta el IDM intrincado. Momentos de oscuridad se equilibran con destellos de luz, sonidos de la naturaleza y una euforia penetrante, antes del clímax profundo y retorcido del EP. Es el sonido de un productor inquieto y decidido a resistir.

We are extremely happy and proud to present you Volume 1 of our 16-year anniversary project, which will be released in a limited 12-inch vinyl edition and digital format split into 8 volumes, which include a total of 44 exclusive tracks and 46 artists. This compilation is a mix of artists who have done a lot for this industry since the early days and the new generation of artists who are also doing amazing things today. We are immensely grateful to all the great artists involved in this project for believing in Illegal Alien Records, for joining us in this celebration, and for contributing their amazing music to make this release even more special. Monnom Black will mark its 17th release with its first various artist compilation presented on triple vinyl. Keeping with the label’s modus operandi, the compilation is packed with iconic, raw and uncompromising techno, featuring 13 artists new and old to the imprint, including a re-release of a classic Drax aka Thomas P. Heckmann track from 1993. 

To coincide with the launch of the compilation, Monnom Black will hold its first highly-anticipated label party. Locking arms with the notorious underground Dutch promoters Reaktor, known for their challenging events and pushing the boundaries of what techno has to offer. Together they will celebrate with an electronic onslaught on New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam’s Elementstraat Warehouse. A location cut to the bone that perfectly encapsulates the label and promoters combined vision and ethos.

Dax J curates the night fusing the label together for a special moment in time, with the titan warehouse opening up two of its rooms hosting a monster line up with the likes of CJ Bolland, Regis as CUB, Thomas P. Heckmann, I Hate Models, UVB, Stranger, Zanias, Cressida, Inhalt Der Nacht, Raffaele Attanasio, Tommy Holohan and Remco Beekwilder.
