James Brett might have cornered the market on turning The Rembrandts' iconic theme into a classical-pop ballad with a real orchestra (The London Metropolitan Orchestra), and of course, there are other symphonic fan covers that you can find online, but I wanted to add my version to that eclectic mix and turn it into sort of a family adventure-type piece with full orchestra, because you gotta admit: these friends are one real family.

This track was produced, as all of my tracks are, using Mixcraft by Acoustica.

And for the record, I kinda want Monica to be much more than a friend to me. But that's a pipe dream at best.

Swapped Theme

I always seek to craft a story in theme music composition. For this Facebook-exclusive series from Clevver, the story goes like this: Iskra Lawrence, body positive model, social Influencer and trained body image consultant, goes more than skin deep in her new series, which encourages people of any shape and size to bare it all, both literally and figuratively, and embrace who they are.

This theme utilizes organ, synth, 80s percussion and orchestral strings. The organ symbols what's on the surface and the strings symbols looking deep beyond to see what's really there.

The Mirror Challenge Theme

"A unique spin on the DIY show concept, we're constructing crafty (and highly Instagrammable) franken-creations with one catch: we have to use random household items found on the Facebook Marketplace."

One could say that this combination of electric guitar, tonewheel organ and drum machine reminds you of "Design On A Dime". Regardless, as with any original Clevver theme, this combines melodic tones with a rebellious yet conservative edge.

Masterclass is a series of online classes taught by some of the world's foremost experts in many creative disciplines, including Ken Burns, Ron Howard, Shonda Rhimes, Gordon Ramsay, Usher, Hans Zimmer, James Patterson, R.L. Stine and many more.

My approach to this was a jazzy upbeat rhythm while maintaining a classical element because of the amount of expertise from these teachers. Orchestral strings and piano with a filtered tom-tom and cymbal kit. Now THAT's classy. Master classy. (#sorrynotsorry for the awful pun)

As with all themes I do, I'm not sure if they will ever use it, but it's worth a shot.

Masterclass Theme

A non-Swiftie composing and producing a uncommonly melodic sunshine pop theme for a lifestyle & entertainment channel run by Swifties dedicating an entire week of content to one of their all-time favorite idols in anticipation of her new album, Lover. The things people do for attention, huh?

Doing something of this nature is nothing new to me, yet intentionally doing it in the style of those "sunshine pop" tracks (ala the ones you might hear from Taylor Swift) was a challenge, but one I was happy to take on. This contains the usual happy trance synth and bass beat expected but with a touch of orchestral strings, oboe, bassoon and a lyrical solo french horn leading the melody. Mixing class with sass is what each and every Clevver theme should be all about.

Born Ready For It (Clevver TS Week Theme)

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, why not turn the luck of the Irish into the Luck of the Eilish? This arrangement of "my boy" features Irish whistle doubling piccolo, fiddles, cello and double bass all backed by taiko drums and tambourine. Another one of those projects for the sake of having fun with my Mixcraft software.

With America in complete disarray due to the continuing crisis within a crisis of white-on-black violence, mainly at the hands of police officers, I wanted to add my thoughts on this in a musical way that says: I stand with you. I pray with you. I may never understand but I am listening.

A simple yet emotionally charged melody with mild electronic beats redolent with oboe, clarinet and legato and bass pizzicato string orchestra.

Woke At War (Black Lives Matter)

Something had been coursing through me to do this for the past couple of days, strangely. See, I bought this SpongeBob CineManga book with a collection of stories called "Bikini Bottom's Most Wanted" and I saw a couple of promos for a entire gimmick that Nick did to promote the Tattletale Strangler called "Bikini Bottom's Most Wanted". Given those two factors, it was high time I commit this to song and start the recording process.

If you guessed it by now, this features the thumping bass and edgy electric guitar from the first theme to the legendary crime-fighting series hosted by John Walsh overlaid by the melody from the SpongeBob SquarePants theme performed by guitar. If that's not all, there's also a foreboding choir and synth background. Pretty badass for a children's show parody theme, huh?
