Das Jahr neigt sich dem Ende zu, und wir verabschieden uns mit der letzten Episode des Jahres 2025.

DJ Cantona stammt aus Polen und lebt heute in Belgien. Als Mitglied des LUCID Collective und Resident-DJ bei Saturo Sounds hat er sich als feste Größe in der elektronischen Musikszene etabliert.

Seine musikalische Reise begann 2012, angetrieben von einer tiefen Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik. Seit 2022 verfolgt er seine DJ-Karriere mit voller Konsequenz und entwickelte dabei einen markanten, atmosphärischen Sound, der Publikum und Veranstalter gleichermaßen überzeugt.

Musikalisch bewegt sich DJ Cantona zwischen Progressive und Melodic House sowie Deep und Organic House. Diese Klangsignatur präsentiert er regelmäßig in seinem zweiwöchentlichen Podcast „PRESS PLAY“ auf SoundCloud.

Seine Sets wurden in zahlreichen internationalen Podcasts und Radioshows vorgestellt, darunter Fryski Radio (Artist of the Week), Progresivna Suza, Ottawa Prog Vibes, Deep House Point France, MUSICUNEED, 8day_Montreal sowie auf Beach-Radio.co.uk und Radio ZENO Deep Awakening.

Ein besonderer Meilenstein folgte 2023 mit seinem Auftritt auf der Technobus Stage beim renommierten Garden Festival in Polen.

Originally from Poland and now based in Belgium, DJ Cantona is a member of the LUCID Collective and a Resident DJ at Saturo Sounds, firmly establishing himself within the electronic music scene.

His musical journey began in 2012, driven by a deep passion for electronic music. Since 2022, he has been pursuing his DJ career with full dedication, developing a distinctive and atmospheric sound that resonates with both audiences and promoters.

Musically, DJ Cantona moves between Progressive and Melodic House, as well as Deep and Organic House. He regularly showcases this signature sound in his bi-weekly podcast “PRESS PLAY” on SoundCloud.

His sets have been featured on numerous international podcasts and radio shows, including Fryski Radio (Artist of the Week), Progresivna Suza, Ottawa Prog Vibes, Deep House Point France, MUSICUNEED, 8day_Montreal, as well as airplay on Beach-Radio.co.uk and Radio ZENO Deep Awakening.

More and more people of all ages are telling me that they suffer from being “ghosted” by others.
Representative of many ghosting victims, a young woman told me the following tale of woe:
She had met a young man through a dating website. At first, they wrote to each other, then talked on the phone. Everything seemed to be going well. 
And during their first encounters, the young woman's impression was reinforced: good conversations, tender kisses, and intimacy.
Then the young man invited the woman to his home.
When the young woman rang the doorbell at the address, no one answered. Repeated calls went unanswered. And on social media (including WhatsApp), she discovered that the young man had blocked her.
This “ghosting” can also occur in other areas: friends who no longer respond, not to mention authorities or companies that never respond to inquiries.
When John Lennon wrote the song “I Call Your Name” in 1964, the term “ghosting” did not yet exist. However, his lyrics very clearly describe the psychological suffering that being ghosted can cause: from self-doubt, feelings of shame and anger, to powerlessness and sleep disorders. 
In my cover version, I want to express above all the anger and indignation that arises when a person you like or even love suddenly and inexplicably stops responding. In my view, this is a very damaging form of passive violence.

Zunehmend berichten mir Menschen verschiedenen Alters, dass Sie darunter leiden, von anderen Personen "geghosted" zu werden.
Repräsentativ für viele Ghosting-Opfer erzählte mir eine junge Frau folgende Leidensgeschichte:
Über ein Datingportal hatte sie einen jungen Mann kennengelernt. Zunächst hatten Sie einander geschrieben, dann telefoniert. Vieles schien dabei schon zu passen. 
Und auch bei den ersten Begegnungen verstärkte sich der Eindruck bei der jungen Frau noch: Gute Gespräche, zärtliche Küsse und Intimitäten. 
Dann lud der junge Mann die Frau zu sich nach Hause ein. 
Als die junge Frau bei der Adresse klingelte öffnete niemand. Mehrfache Anrufe blieben unbeantwortet. Und auf den sozialen Medien (u.a. WhatsApp) musste sie feststellen, dass der junge Mann sie blockiert hatte.
Dieses "Ghosten" kann auch in anderen Bereichen auftreten: Freund*innen, die sich nicht mehr zurückmelden und ganz zu schweigen von Behörden oder Unternehmen, die auf Anfragen nie reagieren.
Als John Lennon 1964 den Song "I call your name" schrieb, gab es    zwar den Begriff "Ghosten" noch nicht. Jedoch beschreibt in seinen Lyrics sehr deutlich, welche psychischen Leiden ein geghostet werden hervorrufen kann: Von Selbstzweifeln, über Scham- und Wutgefühle, bis hin zu Ohnmacht und Schlafstörungen. 
In meiner Coverversion will ich vor allem die Wut und Empörung darüber zum Ausdruck,  wenn eine Person, die man mag oder gar liebt, plötzlich und in keinster Weise nachvollziehbar nicht mehr antwortet. Aus meiner Sicht eine sehr schädigende Form von passiver Gewalt.
