Motherless Child

This was for a radio play for DS106 where we were exploring fairy tales. I had a book as a child with a tale about silkies.

Silkies

A radio play created by a group of DS106 open players. There were two open DS106's in Summer 2015: one by #burgeron106 focused on fairy tales (https://thebergerons.wordpress.com/), and one focused on The Prisoner tv series (http://prisoner106.us). People participating in each or both collaborated to create a radio show about a fairy tale, with elements from The Prisoner tv series.

Rabbit Ears

At the dawn of time. At the beginning of the BBC. Before sound was invented (FRRRRRRP). Two people and a dog launched into the epic production of a show for radio. Not beer-fuelled (much), and not really 11 o'clock at night (much), none were prepared for the adventure that was to ensue. In celebrating the memory of when times were good, and when radio was good, we take you back to the 1940's (when I was born). Intermingled with our original music and goonery are sounds from Noel Coward, Dad's Army, The Goons, Looney Tunes and good old Eric Coats. What a gal. Most of all we feature Mr Don Key, illustrious doyenne of the English music-hall scene. The musical instruments fooled all of us. The dog out-played both of us. And and the beer got the better of us. But THE DS105 RADIO SHOW MUST GO ON. (There is a war on you know)......(NOTIFICATION No donkeys or instruments were harmed in the making of this production. OK. Maybe the clarionette.)

DS106 War Radio Show (Who threw that custard?)

A little poem that I wrote, set to some funky beats. I originally did this using GarageBand on my iPhone to make the chorus, and then transferred to a bigger computer to do all of the verses.
