As 2025 approaches its summer season, Astral Records unveils Part IV of their 'Momentum' series. Following on from their highly stylized brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, focusing on its innovative aspects, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody, emotion and the dancefloor, Astral Records now unveils Part IV of their beloved 'Momentum' series, featuring exclusive new music from (in order of appearance) Apex Sound, Cyantist & Rob Hes, Recuero, Kadhem, I.AM and LowCree.

Selection one finds Apex Sound, making his label debut with ‘Visions'. Hailing from the Netherlands, Apex Sound is an emerging talent within the electronic spectrum. The Dutch artist arrives on Astral with a cohesive sound that often shares the creative space between deep progressive, techno and modern melodic techno styles. A short but meticulous discography is highlighted by releases via Addictive Sounds, OHM Deep State and Ultraviolet Music, well received projects which have earned play and support from John 00 Fleming, Markus Schulz and Shane54 & Omnia. His much-anticipated Astral debut gets the fourth installment of ‘Momentum' underway with a dreamy breakbeat cut which excels on its use of profound emotional narratives and cinematic qualities.

The release concludes with LowCree making his label debut with ‘Afterlove'. Hailing from Mexico, Erick Diego aka LowCree has emerged from his country's burgeoning electronic music scene with a unique blend of Electro and Melodic House and Techno, in turn earning him releases via Black Turtle Records, Prosoul Records and Progressive Vibes Light. Now set to continue his ascent, LowCree embarks on the most important release of his career, making his Astral Records debut with the nostalgic, trance-inspired sounds of ‘Afterlove'.

Astral Records rounds out the spring season by welcoming Senses Of Mind to the label for their debut single. Hailing from Belgium, Kynan Nonneman and Miles Vanderlooven perform as Senses Of Mind with a rare feeling of mutual connection, with their inventive use of melody and rhythm that challenges the listener with unexpected but intuitive turns and compelling grooves. It's this rich production with fire-starting spontaneity which has seen the duo showcase their music via esteemed imprints in Infinite Depth, Running Clouds, Steyoyoke and Untold Stories. Perhaps most notable however was ‘Death Of A String', the duo's well-received debut via Fideles' Impressum as part of the label's ‘Symbiosis Two' collection in 2023. Also accomplished DJs, Senses Of Mind have taken their impeccable track selection and smooth programming skills to iconic stages, from the pulsating beats of Dour Festival to the rhythmic heartbeat of famed Belgian venue Fuse club. With 2025 being highlighted by a performance atop the Mercury Tower in Malta, Senses Of Mind now enter the summer season on a momentous high, making their Astral Records debut with ‘Pulsating Theory', alongside a remix from Braynod.

Beginning with the original mix the long-standing duo masterfully synthesize their creative talents for a proper peak time affair. Wrapped in a modern club-effective blueprint are obsessive rhythms, hyperspace stabs and clustered synth mutations, while thunderous kick drums and momentous grooves keep the gas decisively ‘on'. Flexing their craftsmanship further across the break, it's a tension filled build which steals the air, before dropping out into a cavernous wasteland of sonic artefacts for a charged finale.

The release concludes with Braynod making his label debut with the lone interpretation of ‘Pulsating Theory'. Hailing from Malta, Braydon Azzopardi aka Braynod has been a fixture of his country's electronic underground across the last five years. The Senglea resident first rose to prominence with a pair of early projects for Droid9 South America and Symmetric, where he established a melodic, progressive style that made him a name to watch. Continuing to perfect and evolve his craft going forward, Braynod would re-define his sound, incorporating techno elements while never losing sight of his original melodic approach. It was this cohesive vision which would see the Maltese artist add projects via Lelantus and his own Vestige Records imprint. Perhaps the most noteworthy discography credit would be the April release of ‘QUEMA QUEMA', an ERRORR vehicle co-produced alongside Mila Journée and Tekzee. Now, continuing on this exploitative path, Braynod makes his Astral Records debut in fine style with a rousing interpretation of ‘Pulsating Theory'. Taking a peaktime approach, Braynod toughens up the framework with driving kick drums, fluid rhythmic pulses and a pyrotechnic deconstruction of the lead theme. Its looping hypnotism delivers highwire tension throughout, multiplied further by a frenetic break, as ping-pong sonics eventually give way to a finale guaranteed to tip any dance floor over the edge.

Back with his newest single, Stil vor Talent boss Oliver Koletzki dishes out a pair of fun-loving, no-nonsense floor heaters ready to take on dance floors this summer with poise and precision. Boasting unrelenting basslines and epic-sized buildups, 'Weirdo' finds Koletzki pulling out a wide-spanning arsenal of electrifying synth talk, rugged snares and altered, droid-esque vox bound to fling ravers into orbit without further ado. Doped on an anthemic chorus and strapping, bass-heavy crescendo, the track reels off as a proper monster club-buster, tailored to whip up crowds into a frenzy. Trading the more corseted groove of the lead track for a further jagged, arrhythmic bounce, 'I Don't Wanna' is electronic dance music at its sauciest. Kitted up with the kind of tendinous floor attributes - a mix of sturdy yet elastic bass, laserlike machine funk, fevered percussions and mischievously processed vocals leading the charge, the track has us going off the deep end into the zone when that bass drops. Sincopat presenta un lanzamiento clave que representa una nueva etapa en la evolución sonora de AFFKT. “Bitters and Bread” es fruto de una colaboración vibrante con Island Hill, y fusiona soul, poesía y elementos electrónicos en una experiencia que trasciende géneros, conectando con el cuerpo y el corazón.

Más que un simple track, Bitters and Bread es una declaración artística madura. En su versión Extended, la calidez orgánica se mezcla con el pulso electrónico característico de AFFKT, mientras que las voces emotivas y la instrumentación de Island Hill aportan profundidad emocional.
