Some bleeps and 80’s synths building the start for “Goliath“. Within seconds we have summer melodies and an uplifting groove - welcome Sébastien Léger with his first complete EP on Einmusika. An anthem without a doubt with a lot of passion created. Our boss Einmusik prepared a remix of that epic song with his typical signature. Fellow Swiss national and underground up & comer Night Talk deliver s titillating 3 track EP ‘Hypnotized’ to Definition:Music.

First he sets the mood with the title track (feat. SUMA), a wonderfully tense atmosphere is contrasted with the smooth, lush vocals of SUMA to great effect – creating an intriguing dynamic balance between the two. Next, LOR steps in to deliver his version; a deeper and heavier blend with a dash of techno, house and electronica, leaving his fingerprint behind.

The final track, another original, takes the darkest path. Arps, rhythmic synth and lovely vocal pads create an ethereal experience and a safe bet for a hungry floor.

Exclusive Coeus 'Forgotten Love'

Carefully saved within biological circuits that are activated by networks of nerve cells humans gain access to their memory, and therewith to their past, to their knowledge, to colored images of close people, to their lives. Serbian producer Coeus actived his memory of a 'Forgotten Love' for the first release of shortly founded Parisian label Mimesis. The three tracker, consisting of the EP's name giving track 'Forgotten Love', 'Atlantis' and 'Gravity', depicts hidden feelings in space at a musical level. 'Forgotten Love' overwhelms its listeners with a dark fundamental tone that's not taking the track's lead but is certainly responsible for the undertone. The latter is worked out by the synth-chords that deliver a memorable melody that can easily be recalled as its saved within short time in the back of our heads, in our memory, so it is not forgotten but present.

Coeus' EP 'Forgotten Love' will be released February 19th, 2019 on Mimesis.

Spring season is open for Anathema Records, welcoming the Netherlands' duo Mononoid (Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy) with their label debut EP - ‘Ballata'. Mononoid was born from the word ‘Mono' (as in solo) and the word ‘nooit' (Dutch for never), basically meaning ‘never alone', connecting art and music evolving into their own unique sound.

On remix duties, we welcome to the label the UK based DJ, label owner, and producer - Alessandro Lombardo aka Alex Zed; in addition to, the dynamic artist duo - Danito & Athina, from Cologne, Germany.

‘Ballata' kicks in with a pounding bassline combined with eerie sounds integrating melodic elements and organic percussions that crash all-together into a progressive build-up of mysterious synths with dark-clubby attitude.

‘In Tact' is dyed with subtle melodic trumpets and ambient synths led by a rhythmic bassline and trippy-propulsive drumbeats having a perfect harmony synchronization with rare and effective synths.

Danito & Athina crafted an Afro House infused beauty remixed version of ‘Ballata' by incorporating layers of FUN-tastic back-ground noises combined with eerie synths making it a joyful-danceable track.

Alex Zed's remix for ‘In Tact' is curated by darker and deeper synths integrated by progressive evolutions and dramatic breakdowns fashioning the track into a masterpiece.

'The fifth release of the label 'Infinite Depth' will be in the name of the very talented German producer aacht. He created two pretty minimal and deep originals, of which one is in collaboration with the French duo Meastral. My Flower and Beswerda each managed to compose a more uplifting remix of the originals. 

The third track called 'Etoile Mourante' is the collaboration between aacht and Meastral. In this minimal track the darker part of the EP is exposed through the heavy bass and frightening background sounds. But unless the darkness in this track they have accomplished to add some crazy groove to it.

In the remix 'Etoile Mourante', Beswerda made use of the minimality of the original by building a new layer of recognizable melodies and keeping the groove in the lower parts. This remix brings a more harmonious and powerful end to the EP, which will go into the books as 'ID005'.'

The first notes of “Feys”, R.EK’s latest work and first single release in 2020, leave a volatile impression. The sound’s grace evokes the moment when you see a stranger’s face for the first time, when you inspect its details; cheek dimples, wrinkles on the forehead, a mysterious shade around the eyes.
With every passing second one discovers new details, striking passages taking turns with vulnerable sounds, and with every additional piece of the puzzle you’ll get closer to the core of this work. “Feys” heralds a new era for R.EK and introduces a new chapter for his label KnotenMusic—by uniting melodic techno with cinematic dramatics. In collaboration with Hannes Bieger, whose mixing adds a warm touch to the sound, R.EK is again pushing boundaries, and explores new grounds, where subtle, harmonious synthies and an enormous love for detail are paired to enable a new, distinct sound.

About KNOTEN
Under the umbrella of KNOTEN, R.EK is currently developing a new live performance concept that attempts to reinvent the communication between the artist and the audience by adding innovative visuals to the show. The new track will be released under KnotenMusic, which was launched as part of the KNOTEN project.

The team of Felix and Yannek Maunz give their debut on the infamous label Katermukke.  After a few collaborations of the two producers and live acts from Berlin, they gave rise to their track 'Choices'. A melancholic symphony which carries Felix voice and delivers a chiming groove of a deep and dancy dream. The warm and blistering „Synth Sequence“ on the drop definitely gives the track its characteristic sound and touch.

„Choices“ is Part of the EP „Shining One“ which also includes two tracks of Daniel Jaeger and Cook Strummer.
