BR011 Devoteex - Narcotism EP 

The Italian duo Devoteex put together four original and powerful tracks to create the 'Narcotism EP', eleventh release of Black Rose Recordings.
The EP starts off with 'Balena', characterized by deep melodic progressions of resonant pads and drums that grow up to the drop. Here the song explode and is highlighted by a beautifully evolving synth line throughout.
Next is the track 'Proximus'. a beautiful combination of industrial sounds, strong melodies and hypnotic drums. It takes you on a journey and keeps your ear hooked.
The third piece of music is 'Green Hornet' and is probably the toughest track on the EP. The strong rhythm part of the track is combined with a deep and dark sound design and the overall result is a very pulsating piece.
Rounding out the EP is Devoteex's latest original offering, 'Esperanza'. Rhythmically lively, the track is the perfect balance of fiery percussion and kaleidoscopic synths. The heavy baseline pulls the track together and puts an appropriate and emotional conclusion to the EP.

'TNTS has been a regular on HE-ART Blue, and is back for his third consecutive release following support on different sides of the spectrum, from the likes of Joris Voorn, Miss Monique, Nick Warren to Blancah, Animal Trainer, A Friend Of Marcus, Eelke Kleijn.

In addition to HE-ART Blue, his music can also be heard on labels ranging from Global Underground to Sasha Carassi's Phobiq.

KIKO is back for the second time on HE-ART Blue and once again delivers a remix in the epic style that the French artist is best known for via his other releases on the likes of Tale of Us' Afterlife and Stil Vor Talent.

Label boss Oscar Aguilera teams up with Vikthor for a collaborative techno-tinged remix. Spain’s Oscar Aguilera is known for his releases on labels ranging from John Digweed’s Bedrock to Pig&Dan’s Elevate. Italy’s Vikthor is an exciting up and coming talent who’s released his driving style on the likes of Carl Cox’s Intec and Mark Knight’s Toolroom.

Covering a full spectrum of melodic house and techno, the EP ranges from the uplifting KIKO remix to the dark and driving Oscar Aguilera and Vikthor rework via the poignant vibe of the original.

The original mix of "After The Rain" opens the release with the slow building tension of the melodic lead synth, which switches up the gears to liven the intensity as the track unfolds. Blending poignant emotion with epic pads and grinding bass tones it’s got the prefect end of the night vibe.

KIKO adds his sparkly to "After The Rain" with a cosmic synth line and soaring melodies, which add to its already expansive sound. Compelling and full of wonder, this remix is accompanied by a second rework from KIKO called the 'Sun' remix which focuses on a more electro style bassline.

Oscar Aguilera and Vikthor close out the release with the thundering kick drum and rumbling bassline of their techno rework. Adding their own enchanting female vocal sample, they focus their remix around the original lead synth, which is nestled on a chunky techno groove.'

One of TAU’s core family members and an artist who we discovered and nurtured from day one, Innellea returns to the label. Over the last couple of years it’s been amazing to watch Innellea grow and succeed, with his music catching the attention of labels such as Innervisions, Diynamic and Afterlife. Now he’s back with TAU, delivering a neat four-track package that represents his unique, melodic approach to electronic music. The Hypolation EP is another big stride forward for this artist, who continues to impress with his production prowess.

First up is ‘Returning Spaces’, which begins with a rather sombre atmosphere, stuttered beats and rumbling bass. Hushed vocals weave an emotional narrative, while the instrumental becomes increasingly emotive, Innellea building up the tension to great effect. This one runs at just over three minutes, but it packs plenty of feeling into that time.

Next is the title track, ‘Hypolation’, which demonstrates Innellea’s ability to inject raw feeling into his dance floor compositions. A myriad layers buzz and swirl around each other, cultivating an illuminating atmosphere from the start. Within seconds you’re locked in, riding the wavelengths until you reach the dramatic breakdown. Innellea teases the main riff back in with dexterity, and we’re immersed in the second half of the cut, which maintains its adventurous spirit.

‘Pathological Passion’ could be an apt description of Innellea’s love for making music. This one has a steady beginning, leading into a solemn, melancholy melody. The emotionally-driven core gently unfurls to become all encompassing. Innellea really tells a story with this cut, switching things up around the two-minute mark, before the energy of the first half returns in abundance.

Finally, ‘The Arrival’ takes us into the mystical depths of the Middle East, with Arabian rhythms and instrumentation. A euphoric, trance-esque breakdown guides us into more exotic programming, it’s warm, energising and life-affirming. A perfect demonstration of Innellea’s versatility and his desire to channel a range of influences into his productions.
