DI.FM - Suffused Diary 1-Year Anniversary - Alfoa

This is my edit of disc two of Sasha's Ibiza (Global Underground 13) on the Boxed label, which I created back in 2001.

I was very much into progressive house/trance at the time, but used to joke that I didn't always have four or five minutes to spare waiting for a hi-hat to kick in...

So, for fun, I thought I'd try a cheeky edit - and this is the result.

I chose Ibiza (disc two) not because I felt it needed shortening more than others, but because it was - and still is - my favourite mix from the turn of the millennium.

Ok, it doesn't really take you on a 'journey' like Sasha & Digweed's seminal Renaissance, or even Sasha's San Francisco (GU09).

But, like Sasha & Digweed's Communicate (released just a few months later, in 2000), it features several bangers: Sasha's own Xpander, Bedrock's Heaven Scent, Junkie XL's Future in Computer Hell (part 2) and BT's Mercury and Solace. All four would be in my top 10 progressive tracks of all time.

Anyway, the original is almost 74 minutes long. My version is less than 26min. Ideal if you have a short commute, or run or something.

All (or certainly most) of Sasha's mixing is included, so there's actually more Sasha/per minute than the original! 

In the main, I've simply shortened each of the 10 tracks - hopefully, with some respect. Can you spot the edits?
