Premiere: Rudy (UK) - Different Line [Proton Music]

Originally released on Proton Music in late 2020, the "Salvation" EP showcased Petar Dundov's immaculate production skills. Now receiving a release of its own on Particles, remixes of both tracks come courtesy of a trio of US artists.

Quickly forming a formidable partnership after establishing themselves individually as seasoned professionals on the underground dance circuit, Mariner + Domingo have seen a rapid rise to prominence since late 2019. Able to point to a stellar array of releases on such luminary imprints as Balkan Connection, The Purr and Sound Avenue, March 2021's "Azimuth" and May's "Lose Control" showcased a remarkable production talent on Particles. Now returning to remix "Salvation", Mariner + Domingo have created a sumptuous Organic House offering that revels in intricate percussive groove and free-flowing melodic textures. Taking the essence of Dundov's original, new motifs flow effortlessly across the 8-minute piece as gentle piano chords and counterpoint flute phrases are woven together against a rasping analogue bassline that reaches its zenith at the breakdown. A 303 inspired line opens up in the second half with mesmerising effect creating a highly original innovative new interpretation.

An artist with an enviable portfolio of releases to his name, Jayden Klight has seen his music allied to an array of blue-chip imprints since a remix of Paolo Mojo for Glasgow Underground in 2017. Going on to find his music in high demand, original EPs quickly found their way to Nie Wieder Schlafen, Sound Avenue and Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas. A pair of remixes have highlighted the US producer's talent on Particles after reworkings of Espen in June 2020 and Loveclub, Mariner + Domingo in May 2021. Now returning for a third outing, the Jayden Klight remix of "Nature of Nature" is a delicious breaks-laden affair that lilts easily with its free-flowing melodies and intelligent use of Dundov's components. A subtle and delicate reworking, new motifs emerge alongside the off-beat percussion to create a hypnotic second half with its syncopated motifs and soothing vocal textures. The result is a typically impressive remix that adds a new dimension to the original.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Soulkeys, Larrosa & Gardoqui to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, this quartet of progressive music producers has achieved measurable success in their respective careers. With a combined discography that includes releases via Beat Boutique, Plattenbank, Proton's Particles and Steyoyoke, the Buenos Aires residents have received play and support from electronic music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur, Nicole Moudaber and more. Having worked together previously for Dear Deer, the quartet unites once again for their Dopamine White debut ‘Resilience'.
Beginning with the title selection you get a feel for just how strong the creative synergy between these four great talents is. Featuring a dark progressive minded narrative, the quartet craft a foundation of warm beats, fluid rhythms and devilish effects. Its robust low end is full of character and shape, positively charged and perfectly playing off a wealth of shapeshifting electronics. Coming to full fruition during the main break, a storyboard of warped, guitar-like hooks provides moments of tension and anticipation, before a wave of percussive flashes sparks a powerful drop and meditative finale.
The companion piece ‘Fog' follows suit with its ominous, subterranean energy. Dark undertones power the undulating groove, while esoteric effects and timely tonal shifts should make for some memorable dance floor moments. Arpeggiated fragments steal the air across the first act, playing off the rolling groove and neatly manicured percussion perfectly. Tense and exciting in equal measure, the main break melts down to a bassy rumble, paving the way for a finale that is both heady and hypnotic. It rounds out two classy productions from Soulkeys, Larrosa & Gardoqui, a quartet of talented artists who make their Dopamine White debut in fine style.

The latest release on Madloch's Crossfade Sounds imprint welcomes Mielafon back to the label with a remix EP for his track "Mirage" which already got released in 2021.

Mielafon is a pseudonym of a Saint Petersburg musician / producer / DJ who since the beginning of the 90s has been manifesting himself both in music and in various artistic visual and audio projects, sometimes disappearing in search of his own place in life. Regardless of style or genre, there is always a solution in navigating and developing appropriate audio visualizations for modern minds. But now he is swimming in the river of techno and house music. Each new project brings emotions at the most unexpected moment.

Ranj Kaler, Nicolas Barnes and Basement Scene got invited to do a remix.

Mielafon - Mirage (Ranj Kaler Deep Remix) [Crossfade Sounds]

A Proton Music regular with his array of powerful original music, Subconscious Tales returns to the label with a 3-track masterstroke in "Eternal". An artist with a unique storytelling ability, Ivars Tiliks has always focused on "compositions that take you to a world of energy, darkness and beauty" with "music for the spirit and body".

It is with this modus operandi that the Latvian producer has overseen a double century of production credits signed to a plethora of high-profile independent labels that include Balkan Connection, DistroKid and Rimoshee Traxx. Moreover, almost fifty of those credits can be found on Suffused Music with a glorious collection of original and remix material.

First appearing on Particles with June 2017's "Twisted", Subconscious Tales quickly graduated onto Proton Music with a remix of David Calo's "Chronomatic" in December that year. Two further original offerings have appeared on Proton in the shape of July 2019's "Magnectares" and December 2020's 3-track "Soulreaper", as he now hits the heights with another delightful musical triptych.

Opener, "Eternal" impresses with driving rhythm and whip-cracking kick that evolves into a progressive house gem with its grooved bassline and cascading arpeggio. Waxing and waning with ease, the bassline reaches a powerful crescendo at the mid-point breakdown as it resonates in dynamic fashion. Dropping back into a sumptuous groove in the second half, the track creates a wonderful rhythmic narrative.

The slightly more up-tempo "Laniakea" once again inspires with its club-friendly groove and syncopated bassline sequence. Evolving over an 8-minute timeframe, the bass pattern develops its own melodic characteristics before heavily effected pads provide a moment of melodic intrigue at the breakdown. The result is a highly original and innovative piece.

The final offering sees the "Experience" title track create a glorious symphony of melody that blossoms over nearly 11 minutes of meticulously produced electronic music. A true magnum opus, the track excites with stratified layers of counterpoint melody that all revolve around a central harmony. Spiralling off in different arms synth lines weave a magical path across the track to fashion a dynamic work.

Through his craftsmanship and technique, Subconscious Tales has created another unique musical "Experience" on Proton Music.

Striking out with his own EP series, Hot TuneiK joins illustrious company. Using his "Heightened Senses" as a vehicle for a raft of brand-new original material, plus high-calibre remixes as the series progresses, Vol. 1 presents a quintet of sparkling new tracks.

An artist of innumerable talents, Diego Carreón has found himself at the centre of Mexico's underground dance scene for a number of years. A regular across the clubs of his homeland playing alongside the likes of Guy J, Nick Warren and Henry Saiz, his legendary HOOKAH events have brought the best international DJ talent to central American shores, whilst his record label of the same name has continued to represent renowned producers and nubreed talent in equal measures. A successful production career has run in tandem with well over 300 production credits sitting proudly next to the Hot TuneiK name for a host of high-profile imprints including Balkan Connection, 3rd Avenue and Soundteller Records.

A regular on Particles with his "Erase & Rewind" and "Tulum" EPs, the "Revival" and "Circles of You" EPs for Proton Music in 2018 and 2019, saw Hot TuneiK make an instant impact on the flagship imprint. Now returning to the label after a September 2019 remix of Rudy's "Real You", Hot TuneiK follows in the footsteps of Erdi Irmak and Rick Pier O'Neil by
revealing his "Heightened Senses, Vol. 1"

Opener, "Equilibrium" is chock full of complex and intricately programmed percussive elements that ripple across proceedings alongside hypnotically repeated motifs shimmering in delay treated effects. Simultaneously, a meandering pad with subtle vocal character adds texture and depth to a track soaked in middle eastern flavour. Featuring the vocal talents of Amega, "Awake" is a dark progressive gem that revels in rolling grooved bassline and laidback percussive groove. Sung with coruscating beauty the track's title filters into listener consciousness with languid ease as layered vocal lines add depth and intrigue. "Healing" has a more ethnic oriented flavour with its complex top line and ethereal vocal phrases that reveal themselves in repeated phrases and gated patterns. Subtle melodic variations make their presence felt throughout in a track that demonstrates the range of Hot Tuneik's considerable talent.

"Consciousness" continues with a rich bassline groove and shaker-fuelled percussion that provides the perfect bed for strong organic instrumentation from the multi-talented, Osiris Heyerdahl. Thus, a meandering flute line brings elegance and intrigue across a ten-minute track that delights with its innovation and whispered vocal phrases. Final track, "Life" completes the EP with stratified layers of vocal elegance and poise from Sarah Chilanti alongside a raft of motifs and syncopated melodic elements. A hypnotic groove and heavy beat hold the track together with locked tight sonic glue hitting the post-breakdown third movement with depth and purpose as effected vocal phrases continue to drive things forward.

Five new tracks find Hot TuneiK developing a masterful set of "Heightened Senses".

Clinique Recordings was founded in 2012 by the artist from Murmansk (Russia) - zweitausendeins Traum (ex. Nick Quadrat from Breeze & Quadrat duo). Label is focused on Progressive House and its subgenres. But the main thing is that the each track must have a piece of the soul of its author. It allows music to drive you mad and blow your mind.
