 I was reading about sound influence on the brain.  Someone mentioned to try these frequencies in left and right using headphones. So I put 2 test oscillators into Logic and tested the theory. Really neat effect I would say! So yea nothing is panning it's just your brain hearing the difference cycle in between the 2 frequencies. Let me know do you feel different after listening? Let me know what color if any you notice after listening too? Well it's interesting stuff for sure. Note: You don't have to have headphones you can use speakers as long as they are positioned so you hear the stereo field strongly.


This is not music but interesting anyway.

I will note I did try other frequency combos and really didn't have the same "heady" effect this one combination does. 

thanks for trying out. Yea funny the frequency the lady recommended was slightly different so I got as close as I could. Did you  "feel " both sides of the brain while it was panning? its funny I tried of lot of other frequencies in that range only around the 93 hz range it seemed to work better. Well maybe and panning sounds have some influence on the brain i imagine. weird thing is these 2 sounds are panned ..ok but the panning effect is not like regular panning which is volume Eqing frequency levels on either side to make it sound like movement back and forth...BUT that's not whats happening.  If you listen to one side it is a solid tone. The panning effect IS your brain comprehending the difference ratio (wave of difference) in between the 2 waves. If you listen to one side the tone will not go up and down in volume or frequency. So your brain is hearing the subharmonic wave of difference in between them. Thats weird huh? 

The 2 signals are panned but they do not pan. It is your brain comprehending the difference cycle. Some people will notice it more than others.If you don't know what I mean just listen to either left or right on it's own and tell me if you notice any change in level or frequency.   

Please listen to right and left separately and you will realize that the frequency is constant on each side. When listening to both frequencies at the same time with stereo separation ends up making this effect. I put it in mono and yea it had a bit of wobble sound but really did not have the same movement effect. Sounded like muddy bass in mono.

I didn't want to blow any speakers so I made moderate level and adjust accordingly.
