Puppy Dog Eyes was written for Akiva Schaffer’s upcoming Sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1987) and Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022). Clint Warren’s cousin and Oscars-Nominated Director, Dean Israelite, recruited the two recording artists to create the song for the film. (imdb.com/title/tt1540148). The release is a big band-style swing love song written from the perspective of Roger Rabbit recounting how he and Jessica met at a National Park where she was working as a Park Ranger at the time. Singing Jessica Rabbit’s portion as backing vocals is rising Country artist, Andii Styron, whose song “You Thought,” appeared on the 11th GOA Chillout Zone Compilation, which has been nominated by Oliver Sean for the Recording Academy’s 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
