Coming straight off the hot and spicy sound press - Colombian producer DJ MAYBE has painted a sound picture of a heavin’ House party apparently at the location of King Momo’s fresh pad. Stab chords like hands hitting the sweaty lounge room ceiling that's been turned into a makeshift overcrowded dance floor. Vocal samples poppin off like an argument on the kitchen bench at 3am about who has more key chains on their belt and a bouncing bass line you can hear from three doors down, ready to call the cops with a noise complaint.

North Carolinian producer, Probably Will, is back after the success of his first Danse Direkt release earlier this year. His newest offering is an upbeat but emotional affair that is not to be missed. "An End" is slow burning and passionate. A heartfelt sample and sparse piano lead are tastefully employed in this constantly building crescendo. "In Some Other Place" brings a bit more color and funk to the mix. A propulsive bass line and pleasantly syncopated drums ensure that the dance floor will be packed every time this one drops. But even through the funk and flair, Probably Will doesn't shy away from making you feel something. Things feel a bit more exotic with the stand out track, "Kawengna (Place Of The Hill)" which pairs bright chord stabs with a rolling, thunderous bass line and delicate, swirling arpeggios. "Mature" is one of the more subdued of the bunch. Things are a bit dustier and the edges are a bit smoother in this realm. Still, Probably Will's ability to create and sustain a groove is undeniable here. "WYD" is a cool, dark alley illuminated by neon signs reflected in the puddles left after an unexpected thunder storm. Hazy pads settle in like a dense fog, but a bouncing bass line and light-as-a-feather leads illuminate the path. Out November 1st at soundtransitions.bandcamp.com

Garey’s latest record Low Key which was -produced by himself and his long time creative partner HKMK is a fusion of multiple genres as it features dance hall, reggaeton, trap and elements. The Afro-fusionist in this story entices a lady to come chill with him for a weekend at an undisclosed location. He reminisces about their special moments, and he is motivated to create a rendevouz. He promises to deliver a rather rare experience filled with pure vibes. The lyrical approach is rather persuasive and discreet in the tonality. Excerpts from lyrics include “will you come over for the weekend we ain't gotta tell nobody I can keep it on a low, I can keep it on a Low Key”. The matured and confident nature of the delivery allows the artists to paint a vivid picture of a harmless “won't kiss and tell” type of affair. It is way past the summer but this groovy tune is a club banger.
