“Pride or Die” isn’t just another charity album, it’s a defiant response to Hungary’s escalating crackdown on LGBTQ+ rights. In March 2025, the government weaponized its assembly laws, imposing draconian restrictions on public demonstrations under the thinly veiled guise of "order." The amendments single out Pride events, slapping participants and organizers with crippling fines while empowering police to surveil crowds with invasive facial recognition. This isn’t just bureaucratic overreach, it’s a deliberate assault on visibility, following earlier attacks like the 2020 gender recognition ban and the 2021 censorship of queer content. The message is clear: dissent won’t be tolerated, and civil liberties are disposable.

But the fight isn’t over. Dalmata Daniel and 34 artists – both Hungarian and international – have turned rage into resistance, crafting a compilation that’s as unapologetic as it is necessary. Every track is a middle finger to oppression, blending solidarity with raw defiance. The album’s proceeds will be donated to the Budapest Pride Foundation (https://budapestpride.hu/), proving that while laws can be rewritten, solidarity can’t be silenced. This isn’t just about music; it’s about survival. If the government thinks fear will win, they’ve underestimated the power of a community that refuses to disappear. 

Premiered here, Antoni Maiovvi’s “Take Us Far Away From This Please” delivers a gripping blend of acid-tinged tension and hypnotic drive, soaring atmospheres anchored by a relentless rhythm. The track’s title channels the raw yearning at the heart of “Pride Or Die,” echoing the fight against Hungary’s oppressive regime. A veteran of Skylax, Bordello A Parigi, Italo Moderni, Les Yeux Orange, and Dalmata Daniel itself, Maiovvi fuses Electro Disco’s pulse with cinematic depth, crafting a sonic rebellion. Every beat reinforces the compilation’s call to resist, turning dance floors into battlegrounds for queer solidarity.

Following 2023’s ‘Dark Forest’, New York-based producer Michael Claus is set to release ‘Gradient Dreams’, a 4-track fever dream of dark, rhythmic techno. Our pick “Plastic Soul” is an industrial acid house burner brimming with a vibrant, gritty aesthetic.

Anna Dubowick’s sophomore EP on clipp.art is an intense lean into ambient, IDM and leftfield electro, moonlight by an affectionate tribute to her adopted home, the West Coast city of Angeles. Each track unravels like a dear diary entry, dark seduction and sweet melancholy mix as she digs deeper into her own re-invention. “Elsewhere” like LA, is a place where anybody can arrive and become whoever they want to be. 1. Sunset Blvd
"An ode to the city itself, Sunset Blvd captures the soul of Los Angeles - a sprawling, contradictory, and electrifying metropolis where energy pulses through everything and everyone. 
It’s a vibrant dance of life, a reminder that in this city, possibility is infinite. Like a scene from Terrence Malick’s "Knight of Cups" : You see the palm trees? They tell you anything's possible.

2. Elsewhere
"Transport yourself to a radiant, sunlit day in Los Angeles, where golden rays dazzle your face, and a gentle breeze tousles your hair as you cruise in a convertible. The warmth of sunlight graces your skin, while the gleaming reflections off the car's chrome blind your gaze. 
In the air, notes of cedar wood and vetiver mingle with the delicate aroma of niche fig, perfectly paired with a sparkling glass of champagne at Chateau Marmont. 
A serene calm envelopes you, broken only by the sprawling view of the city from the hills - a subtle reminder of the bustling life just beyond the horizon.”

3. Witch
"A plunge into a mysterious nocturnal realm, where slow motion unfolds under the glow of neon lights reflecting on a vintage leather coat. The distant echo of heels clicking on the pavement stirs curiosity, enveloping you in an atmosphere heavy with intrigue. It’s an ode to the liminal - a space where reality and dreams blur, much like in David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive. 
Here, you find yourself entangled in dark seduction, tinged with a sense of sweet melancholy - a hypnotic dance that lingers in the subconscious, leaving you suspended between the known and the unknown.”

4. Sundaze
"Enter a luminous haze where the sun blinds so intensely, it renders your surroundings almost imperceptible. Details blur as your eyes are drawn to the sparkling reflections of water in a pool, high above. 
Laughter echoes, people gather, and a soft breeze brushes against your sun-warmed skin, carrying a hint of sweet sophistication. In this fleeting moment, life feels perfectly aligned - like you’re exactly where you’re meant to be, in a harmony so delicate it threatens to slip away before you can fully grasp it.”

Rotterdam via London based producer and Feed The Void label head Birds returns to her own label with a brand new EP ‘Space Transmissions From A Cruel World’, a bass heavy ode to the sad state of Planet Earth.

Opener ‘Wicked Games’ is as sub filled builder; the distorted acid line contrasting to the lower frequencies and cutting through strong on a layer of vocal samples and Birds’ own vocal.

‘Save Humanity. Forget Authority’ is a breakbeat number with a kick that packs a punch. The track’s message is clear: the world is in crisis and humanitarianism is coming second to authoritarianism and greed.

‘Brug Open, Motor Af’ is an homage to The Netherlands and the Zuid-Holland West Coast sound that brought her here. One of the samples you hear is the monotonous drone of the Rotterdam’s Mathenessebrug opening whilst the vocal is suitably vocoder heavy. This contrasts to the chopped up Drill vocal sample that works as base for the track and adds a melancholic and serious feel to it. Beat wise, it’s as Electro as it gets with her signature 303 making an appearance mid way through the track.

‘It’s A Long Way To Go (To Escape The Human Race)’ is an Amen Breaks track whilst the simple 3 note lead line gives it a mild 80s pop-esque feel, contrasting greatly to to the sub-y Drum n Bass style bass line. This track is an immediate snap shot into the multiple genres that inspire the artist.

‘Shake Things Up’ builds and drops through sonic layering, the way a shoe-gaze track might but is still essentially a Bass music track that lyrically questions life’s unspoken rules and expectations.

‘Space Transmissions From A Cruel World’ is probably Birds’ most musically ambitious record yet and one that fully incorporates her sonic pallet and the wild journey you might find yourself on during one of her DJ sets, whilst also acting as a social commentary. It has a unique-ness that’s often missing within the dance music industry.

Sayne and Escalated Edits have known each other for quite some years already. Escalated Edits is the new alias of Remy Unger, who recently released a powerful EP on Ben Sims' esteemed Hardgroove label.

SHEE has been tearing up the Irish scene and the internet at the minute. Yeong Die is an artist residing in South Korea that got into music after commencing her study of piano at age 6. In the following years she was influenced by Chopin and Beethoven, K-Pop, Bill Evans and Brad Mehldau, Aphex Twin and the Boards of Canada, Bjork, Erykah Badu and DJ 威力. “Studying jazz from an early age made me want to make music that understood the concept of ‘improvisation’. I started producing with minimal equipment, using only Master Keyboard, MacBook, and Logic X... ”. In 2018 she dropped her debut self album “PIZZAPI” and began her journey as a DJ, producer, and sound designer - collaborating predominantly with video media. 

If all that sounds like your bag, then wrap your head around her new album “Threshold Value”.
 
Ahead of what would be the strangest year in living history, on January 1, 2020, Yeong Die quit her job and purchased her first synthesizer - a Korg Minilogue. She began working on music at 9am, every morning for three months. The resulting tempest of sound and ideas would be developed further over a total of 7 months from the start of the project, completion being the full length “Threshold Value” - a ten track odyssey of noise and textures and heavy concept clashes skipping between Ambient, Industrial, Manipulated Audio Media, Music and Non-Music Sound. Pieces like “Nool the Que” announce themselves like a love story involving telephone modems giving birth to a dystopian neon future. “Anywhere is Fine” can be heard at home bouncing around the confines of a basement fight club. The 10 minute “Worstward Ho” or “Much O O” could derive from a modern Music for Airports, albeit a 2020 version minus the hustle and bustle, echoes from a place both desolate and tense. 

In Yeong Die’s own words: “The theme of “Threshold Value” is embodied in the title songs ‘Anywhere is Fine’ and ‘Worstward Ho’. I focused on the sense of bearing and pain that I can never get used to. Holding, or not holding up are completely different, but I think the distance between these is very close. “Threshold Value” was the work of finding the space as close as possible between patience and explosion.”
