FINNEST music presents, Mueve', the new maxi by Deryk Rossen from Poland. The main track that gives its name to the maxi, has a deep essence from another planet, with a very groovero and progressive rhythm and a bassline that takes you to heaven in a single jump, the stabs and the sensual vocal complete this great work. In the second track, Deryk brings us 'Humans', a more serious piece but also very elegant, the female voice overwhelms you, the rhythm of the bassline impacts your brain directly and the guitar tells you what the story of this track is like. Very good job Deryk, without a doubt we are sure that the djs will want this maxi in their collection.

The second chapter in the Family Matters series marks the 10th release on the Belgian record label 9300 Records. Via electro, through house and breakbeat, all the way to New Beat, established members offer you their view on the different aspects in the spectrum of electronic music. It's a nostalgic reference to the past, through the eyes of the present.

A-side consists of dance-floor approved electro/house tracks of both Intimacy and Innershades and a sophisticated anthem by the hands of Robert D. Alessandro Parisi makes his first contribution to the label with an ominous New Beat influenced track, while Betonkust joins him on the dark B-side with his well known non compromising electro.

The expressive Urulu remix of the titular track on Harrison BDP's most recent release, 'Sweet Dreams', barges into existence. Stomping, insistent and brimming with a menagerie of undertones, it seems to descend into itself with tottering samples and 8-bit-style bleeps that scrawl calligraphy lines of sound upon the original.

This record is like a stained-glass lightshow rippling down upon the thoughts of an easy dreamer, and an utter treat for your speakers.

Bootie Grove - Mind The Gap On The 2nd Avenue Line

UrbnMowgli & Moodrich - E-Motions EP [CLIPP158]

UrbanMowgli and Moodrich are a couple of German based lads that love belting out tha tunes. They mix it up here for an EP consisting of a couple collaborative efforts, paired with two solo originals -  which both complement each other and also gives definition to their easily interchangeable electro aesthetics.

Opener “E-Motions” might fall into what you would traditionally recognise as an immediate classic lo-fi house flavour: resonate electric keys, clanging house beats, playful lead, a soulfully unrecognizable vocal hook. Or as we like to call it “melodic nostalgia”. It’s all there and sets the mood (sic) like a butt print on your couch - familiar and welcoming.

UrbnMowgli goes solo on “Cocco My Love” and glides between breakbeat and house patterns with splashes of soul flirting in the corner with some sweet italo lead arpeggiation. It’s that gelato flavour you always order cause you can’t simply stop licking. Go ahead, you do you, man.

There’s no conspiracy that Moodrich’s follow up “Deep State” goes.. erm.. Deep? But it still brings enough in the way of motorik riddims, euphoric backing vocals and a healthy dose of acid bassline to likely get at least 2 out of 5 RA podcast hosts lens cleaning & chin-stroking in semi-approval. 

EP closer “Astral Journeys” reunites these Berlin buddies on a dreamy chugger that feels too fast, yet slows the feels right down. This is music for dancing around your kitchen with a glass of wine, while you have a pasta bake in the oven, under the glow of those christmas lights you decided to put up 5 months before the actual holiday season. Pour yourself another cup of E-Motions. You deserve it.

Club tools that flaunt meticulous percussion, time-stretched vocals and syncopated drums, crafted with UKG sensibilities.

As premiered by The Black Madonna on BBC Radio 1's Residency, the record opens with O O O, a peak-time banger comprising of pungent vocal direction, and gently swung, pristinely programmed percussion.

Duvrow Hill utilises a clattering worm break, with spacious bass devastation, complimenting aromatic, time-stretched vocals.
