Nathan Micay aka Bwana is gearing up for what promises to be a very busy summer. Earlier this year he launched a vinyl-only label called Schvitz Edits, and the first 12" featured his own unexpected dancefloor edits of Dr. John and Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot.

Out 26th May, the second release finds some of Nathan's friends joining the fun. We're premiering the flip - Glasgow favourite Perko's take on Brazilian bossa nova legend Sergio Mendes' 'Magalenha'. With percussion like scarlet macaws chattering in the rainforest canopies, play this one to inject some heat into the dancefloor.

Following on from Type-303’s breakthrough The New Ravelution EP, Insult To Injury areproud to present You Ruined SST For Me EP by long time label friends, Pink Skull.We first heard Vr4l4r last year and immediately knew we had to put it out, as itmanages to be both an acid banger and a chordal, emotive piece simultaneously. No mean feat. F4n4pt turns up the heat (and the grit) with groove laden drum machines and analogue synthesisers firing machinegun-esque rhythms over the top. S4phr1s is aslightly weirder affair, as atonal bleeps & noises are anchored by the pounding 4/4 kickdrum.
Finally, label boss Timothy Clerkin provides a dance-floor-ready version of S4phr1s : 808‘s boom and 303’s squelch – it’s an acid workout for the warehouse.

Uabos is back on Bordello A Parigi! The Italian has melted hearts and floors with tracks that brim with silken grooves and a raw house energy. For his latest Uabos builds on his past sound while folding new elements into his layered style. "Shadow" is the eponymous introduction, a track that sways between dawn and dusk, light and dark, as it dances between bright addictive keys and twilight tones.

It's been three years since Swiss producer Michel Cleis conjured a storm with “La Mezcla”, a Cadenza hit cemented into house canon as it was swiftly reissued by Strictly Rhythm, bringing the sabor latino into clubs worldwide. Some more 12”s and a number of high-profile remixes (going from tracey thorn to skunk anansie,for labels like rekids , bronswood or Aus) later, he's now teaming up with DJ Koze's crew for his next move: a colorful, crescendoing 12-minute tune that's ready to make a splash in your summer soundtrack.

“Mir a Nero” begins with a steady, upbeat kick underlying a simple piano arpeggio – like if Philip Glass make dance music – but then some accents of vibrant hand percussion loosen up the vibe, soon progressing into rhythmic layers that cause the energy to swell. By the 4-minute mark, a subtle, buzzing synth permeates the background, contrasting the track's overall organic feel, leading into the playful piano chords and colombian vocal hook. Simply put, this is Latin House with that anomalous Pampa Records swagger, drenched with flavor like Sangria-soaked mango.

Flip that baby over and you get “Amaranthus”, named after the famed flower that represents immortality. This piece stands as a color-negative of “Mir a Nero”, an unwavering stomp with just shadows of the piano sample heard earlier. Freeze-dried rather than sun-ripened, “Amaranthus” is a dubby, more technofied counterpart to the A-Side, crafted for deeper and darker moments on the dancefloor.

Rising Spanish talent Tete De La Course makes a massive statement with his new single on Poetry In Motion titled 'Your Love Keeps Me Hangin' On', dropping a vocal house cut with an infectious piano melody that is primed to be a timeless dancefloor anthem.

The track is the first original piece to be released on Poetry In Motion, the label Tete De La Course co-runs with four others. It also sees the artist dig back to his roots, focusing on the essence of classic house.  As the label describes, this track "will make you dance and sweat waving your hands in the air as if you were in the Loft in NYC, swimming through the balloons with a huge smile on your face." Sounds about right!
