Mix 105 is a very special production mix by a Footwork Jungle fave, the UK based producer Lakeway! Making waves in all sorts of ways, Lakeway has a distinctive and versatile sound that encompasses grime, jungle and footwork elements. Making his name via a series of releases for Diffrent Music and sister label SweetBox in the mid-2010s, Lakeway’s hyperactive, hybridised original productions, bootlegs and exclusive cuts quickly struck a chord with some of the scene’s biggest names. Having signed to Med School for a series of EPs before the label’s closure last year, he returned to the Diffrent fold in 2020 with the third instalment of his ‘Misadventures’ trilogy, and ‘Wave Rider.’  Only in his early twenties, Lakeway has already performed at the iconic Fabric nightclub, graced BBC Radio 1 with an exclusive guest mix and received serious support from DJ Mag and Mixmag.

"All things considered, getting all of this out with music just feels right? Like I can use the album to point to it to explain how I feel instead of having to think about [it] all the time, but at the very least, I want it to be the best apology I can give to the people who deserve it (even if they'll never hear it). "fleeting memories; feigning happiness" is a personal journey for me that follows, among other things, the course of a romantic relationship, the stages of grief that came with it, and my understanding of my eventual diagnosis of bipolar II disorder. I suppose I'll leave it at that.
