I've been playing XCOM recently and I always loved the briefing/loadout music in both XCOM - Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2. I figured I would make my own piece in that style.

Tarvos Revelation

I've set myself a challenge to compose a piece of music every month in 2020. And I'm sidestepping the problem of "what shall I name this piece?" by naming them after the months.

So...This is January.

A recreation of the Westworld theme based on the sheet music by Stephen Myers on Musescore.

Mixing this was fun and challenging. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, if I revisit it in the future I need to add the more electronic instruments that are primarily in the first few bars.

Created with EastWest Hollywood Orchestra, EastWest Bosendorfer Piano, Omnisphere and Ample Guitar M Lite, with Reaper as my DAW.
