"The Shelleys residency happened when the DJ that played Thursday nights  there was getting asked to play some Acid & House. He had very little idea about it, so I got introduced to him as "the guy with this new music" via some older mates that I worked with at Creda where he used to work too. This was October 1988 and I did about 8-10 weeks before I quit. I would play an hour set, trax like Inner City - Big Fun, Royal House - Can You Party & Jolly Roger - Acid Man. I was acually DJing there on the night of my 18th Birthday (17th Nov). I then returned for a Saturday night residency in 1991 together with long term friend Daz Willott promoted by the late Pete Timmis"

first club i ever went to 16.12.1990 , was by pure chance me and my best friend ended up there, we had bought tickets from red rhino records in york for a event on leeds road in bradford, it was a rip off, no event me and my best mate stood outside a club called aj's, a car pulled up with 2 guys and a girl in the car, window went down and driver said you come for the rave, we was like yeah, he said he thought it was a rip off, and told us to get in the car we did and went to the capricorn club aka 
bibbys the rest is history, made life long friends in that club x
