For Lost Records latest release we have enrolled the West Country’s deadliest dancefloor duo Origins Sound for what could easily be described as their best release to date.  With numerous releases already on the likes of the Glasgow Underground & Morris Audio, after hearing their latest output we are glad we got these two on board just in time, as they start to make serious impressions on the scene.
 
The title track ‘Dallas’ kicks things off with a clear-cut, bassline heavy bumping house beat, which uses a sneaky vocal sample and a lingering contagious synth effect to create a direct dancefloor missile.
 
Remix duties fall to two forthcoming heavyweights who have been on our radar for a while.  First up is Copy Paste Soul’s execution of ‘Dallas’.  On a stripped back house groove, their techy and garage influenced sound shines throughout.

On a similar setting but more of a vibe ‘Alias’ goes straight in with a catchy vocal cut sitting on top of some spacey moments rounded off with a chugging bassline.
 
With ‘Eulers Number’ Origins Sound have created a driving twisted house track, perfectly mastered on a deep melodic vibe where the manifestation of a fine slow jam vocal sample sits nicely on some moving spaced out effects. 

Glasgow duo Mia Dora round off this EP as they stamp their trademark-haunting edge all over 'Eulers Number'.  The original of this is a lot moodier, but on this occasion Rob and Al have brought their speaker thumping touch on board and added that destructive final touch to this dark vocal led bounce. …

Origins Sound - Dallas (Original Mix) - Out Now

Touch of Class Records is proud to present “Once Upon A Time” an EP recorded by producer, vocalist, DJ, Navid Izadi. Hailing from San Francisco, Navid Izadi makes it an art to combine multiple influences in his music, his earlier experiences constantly resonating through his productions. Here he brings us a two-part track, with remixes by Tone of Arc and Kenneth Scott. Recorded in the Lower Haight district of San Francisco, this EP is the imprints fourth release, heralding the musical qualities that the label stays true to: a combination of sophisticated and eclectic rhythms executed with style and poise.

Part one of the original track is laid down with a moogy bass line and met with classic 808 style percussion textures mixed with provocative vocals and laughter about a night out-- taking us on a groovy ride through the colorful and transient streets of San Francisco. Part two evolves from a sexy and playful escapade to a stripped back, dreamy after-thought with the sounds of a xylophone in the background and Tone of Arc delivers a 303 bass line remix that electrifies. Kenneth Scott’s remix delivers an early 90s vibe taking it back similar to the classic sound of The Orb’s Little Fluffy Clouds Cumulonimbus Mix by Pal joey. The entire EP embodies a family affair with contributions by all San Francisco bred artists.

This last year was a big one for Izadi with releases on Wolf & Lamb & Soul Clap Records, but his creative output doesn’t stop there. Besides performing live, Dj’ing and producing quality tracks, Navid Izadi has done vocals featured on tracks alongside Deniz Kurtel, Soul Clap, Signal Flow, and close friends PillowTalk.

Following two seminal EPs for Lobster Theremin and a breakout debut for Nous, Route 8's 'Dry Thoughts EP' gets a wavy rework. Gone are the title track and B2 and in is 'Relaxed', a summer house anthem that slams from the high heavens. Who better to kick off the inaugural release of SOBO [Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest] than Patrick Holland, best known as Project Pablo. Affiliated with the Canadian Riviera's 1080p troupe, as well as Seb Wildblood's Church and Lone's Magicwire – Holland now adds Beaubien Dream as the fourth instalment to his 12" series. The Beaubien connection comes from Montreal's Rue Beaubien, of which Holland is a resident. SOBO is headed up by fellow longstanding citizens of the Beaubien Ouest hood, Arbutus Records and their extended family – of which Holland is an instrumental part.

An initial teaser of the EP's opening "Closer" was aired publicly during Holland's BR London set back in October, as well as his NTS appearance with Lone and Gabriola earlier this year. Now, after a patient seven-month wait, we can finally wrap our mitts around it in its entirety. Alongside its two subsequent components, the track acts as a homage to Holland's home. With its distinctive Dx7 melodies, jingly percussion provided by bells (of the cow variety amongst others) and an insatiable groove growing lazily throughout – "Closer" is instantaneous happiness.
