UPDATE: This is a repost as our original post tagged the wrong Dodgr, who ended up bring a complete dickhead and vehemently disagreed with us making an honest mistake and using his bio and picture. Spotify also has made this same mistake and has his music on the intended (and better) Dodgr's profile. Always smart of be an a-hole to people who spend their time promoting artist's music FOR FREE. Anyway...

Monday's at Rock With This have unofficially become the day we feature our favorite track from the previous night's Euphoria episode. With only two more episodes left in the season, the simple life is about to come crashing down.

All of the details from our original post about Dodgr (being from Atlanta, creating bass/trap music, etc.) were clearly wrong but after some sleuthing here's the little we found about the REAL Dodgr. Alana Chenevert, a.k.a. The Last Artful Dodgr, is an American hip hop recording artist from Portland, Oregon. She has been producing and rapping since 2011.

What I can share in a bit more depth is what I hear on "HOT"; and what I hear a glorious piece of music that is reminiscent of 50's doo-wop. A track that offers lots of space for each element to do its thing and for the vocalist to lay down his gold on top of the groove. The string work throughout is also choice. The genre lies somewhere between R&B, hip hop, and electro soul. This is a damn good song. Dig.
