'Wabi Sabi' is actually a phrase derived from Buddhist teachings, roughly meaning 'the art of imperfection'. True to it's title and like Hanks other works, this A1 cut is rough around the edges but emanates heat and beauty from within - kinda like those lovely little handleless cups they give you for free green tea in Wagamama's. Glitching LoFi percussion is met with distorted keys and glimmering oriental synths - resulting in one hot n' tasty ramen bowl of a jam.

The Prodigal Son returns to the label from whence his debut record was released. Live Ones have known Lorca for some 6 years, and seen/heard his sound evolve since their last encounter, back in the heady days of 2010. A lot has changed since, but it seems Lorca’s knack for a melodic hook is impervious to erosion from the sands of times- The tunefully delicate “All My Love” is a testament to the fact.

As the EP title would suggest, this Premiere is one of four odes to the late great prince of soul, Eddie Kendricks. Textures of some of Eddie’s hottest hits are woven throughout every cut, each brushed with a different stroke of Lorca’s artistry. Like one of The Temptations, “All My Love” fits like a glove into one of their infamous purple suits, dripping with pizzazz and swag - finger snapping and swaying for a full four minutes of soulful joy.

@RAFREZA is a Toronto prodigy. On more nights than not, he can be found grooving on either side of the decks: from warming up the weekend at Technics-outfitted dive bars to blending between several shades of club music early Sunday morning. He is most at home where there is music and a dance floor. So much so, in fact, that he spends his days curating the Dance 12” bins at Toronto vinyl institution, June Records. Within the last five years his contribution to Toronto’s dance music scene has been voracious, multifaceted and inspiring. 
Born in Tokyo to Bangladeshi parents, Raf’s family moved to Toronto when he was nine. However, it was a family trip to the UK which sparked his interest in electronic music. The late 90s sounds of french house, UK garage, and progressive house gripped his attention and never let go. And so electronic music consumed the bulk of his psyche within those pre-club, formative years. At 17, he began to collect vinyl in pursuit of new sounds and an opportunity to DJ. To this day, his musical thirst remains unquenchable and Toronto (and the world) is all the better for it.
Raf’s studio productions mirror the multifaceted nature of his DJ sets. He draws melodic and rhythmic considerations from a broad range of dance music both old and new to create contemporary club music with compositional appeal. His debut 12” EP, PROTO, is a modern inflection of classic Electro Boogie and is the second release from Cosmic Resonance Records.This record was written, performed, recorded and mixed by Raf Reza. Mastered by Andrew Seok at BUMP Music.

The prolific American producer Warren Harris is back again with his Hanna project. After recent releases on legendary labels such as Apron and Sound Signature, where he signed his last album in 2016, Hanna joins the Flumo crew and continues to explore the deep side of sounds with this new 5-tracker EP. 

Known for his own Jazz influenced melodies and hard punching broken House rhythms, Hanna does not disappoint on this EP that features, amongst others, the beautiful production "The Sacred", taking roots in Nu Jazz, Hip Hop and House Music.
