Katya Milch - Sky moment

Monthly sketches about slow electronic music. A platform for artists and DJs to experiment in various downtempo genres.

Svyatoslav Nemchenko aka Vestibular Glow —  an DJ and producer from Dnipro who currently based in Kyiv.

From a young age, he has been fascinated by electronic music, exploring genres such as New Beat, EBM, Italo Disco, Industrial, Electro, Acid, Post Punk, New Wave and various related styles. In his own material, Vestibular Glow reflects on the events occurring around him, combining elements of these genres to produce a unique hybrid sound.

In the seventh episode of the show, Sviatoslav explores dark and cold genres. A mix of esotericism, cold, and dramatic action, with touches of eroticism and the carnal, immerses you in the very heart of this dimension of body horror.

Hackney Electronica come to Dark Entries with the Synaptic Shadows EP, featuring 5 cuts of acidic rave-inflected wave. Quinn Whalley (Paranoid London), Unai Trotti (Cartulis Music), and Margo Broom (Hermitage Working Studios) formed Hackney Electronica during COVID era. Trotti and Whalley were spending countless hours digging through records and making music during lockdown. As their sound took shape - heavy and hypnotic - they invited Broom to join, cementing the motley trio. The five pieces on Synaptic Shadows explore themes of altered states, late-night cityscapes, and the fine line between pleasure and paranoia. Each track pulses like a memory from the backstreets of Hackney, where the night transforms the city into an electrified maze of fleeting highs and inevitable crashes. The anxious grooves on “H.E. Nuestro Circuito” and “Whispers from the Depths” channel 1980s DIY electronics onto the contemporary dancefloor, while “Efecto Perfecto,” “The One”, and “Nueva Ola” offer breakbeat-laced electro that will keep you dancing until dawn. Housed in a sleeve designed by German Bardo, Synaptic Shadows is more than just a debut release, it’s a journey through the flickering alleys of the mind, where tension and transcendence intertwine. 


Hackney Electronica - Synaptic Shadows CLIPS

Béllis is a DJ from Zaporizhzhia, whose music career began on the Kyiv scene. She is the founder of Hybrid Moment party series and community, which explores the dark side of electronic music, and a curator of the show Inner Voyage at 20ft radio, aimed at providing a platform for experiments by artists and DJs in various downtempo genres.

Inspired by Post-Punk, Trip-Hop, and Ambient Music, with a background in Nu Disco and Synthpop, Béllis deeply explores Dark Disco and EBM melodies, the dark side of Indie Dance, complemented by Acid and Electro motifs.

Her selection is a symbiosis of powerful synth parts, ethnic motifs, and elusive vocal elements. According to the DJ, this combination creates a sense of immersion, making the experience she and the people on the dance floor receive more intimate and profound.

Despite the fact that Béllis has just started her journey in DJing, she has already performed at venues such as ∄, Closer, Somepeople, RSO Berlin and at festivals like Black! Factory, Strichka and Brave! Factory.

“Fold” is a highlight from A Kind Place, the debut release on Blomfelt’s new imprint Quiet Valley. The EP explores memory, movement, and stillness through textured electronics and restrained, quietly powerful arrangements. Flickering rhythms, warm low-end, and sparse melodic gestures shape a mood that’s both introspective and club-ready—genre-fluid and deeply considered. 

This release follows Blomfelt’s previous output under his own name and various aliases, including his collaborative project Blomfelt & Narby and ambient work as Evigt, with releases on labels such as Oath, Atomnation, Mesh, and Shimmering Moods.

These are tracks that work as well in a club context as they do in more introspective settings, each contributing to a broader, coherent atmosphere.

Released on Quiet Valley, Blomfelt’s own imprint, the EP continues his interest in genre-fluid, reflective music. His approach leans toward slow-building, unforced storytelling rather than clear-cut definitions.
