LA based DJ and producer Sam Jaspersohn debuts on Monog with a top-notch remix on Reborn. Sam was exposed to electronic music when he was 15 and he began to mix with vinyl since then. His career soon blossomed with a coast-to-coast following. He has received praise for tracks like Islands which featured on Digweed’s Bedrock 18-Signals compilation in 2016. His works have also been championed by a host of other top artists and he has appeared on top labels around the world. On the remix Sam takes us down the rabbit hole with a wondrous display of musical composition made up of deep, dark and lush tones. A solid drum section sets up a smooth rhythm while mesmerizing pads and sub shaking basses go to work. Mary’s vocal rings true throughout adding a beautiful organic flavour. An excellent track that is not to be missed.

Hoomidaas was once a glimmer in Armen Miran’s eye. He began to pursue the label long after moving to Los Angeles. “Road to You” continues what’s been a wild ride! In only his third release, Nohan appears alongside countrymen Nicolas Rada, Lisandro and Marian. The young Argentinian draws attention to female vox by placing them atop crisp percussive lines.

Each year Sabo’s label Sol Selectas drops its highly anticipated Summer Sol compilation, and I wondered if you would like to premiere one of the tracks for the 2020 edition?

It hits stores on the 19th of June which is the day of the summer solstice, as the EP’s concept is a celebration of world culture, as regardless of skin colour, gender or social background… Sol Selectas motto, is that we are all equal under the light on the sun.

This year’s compilation features music from over twenty different countries and lyrics in many different languages including artists such as Namito, Derûn, Mark Alow and Sabo himself, plus many more.

Covering a range of tempos, the tracks vary in style from melodic deep house to meditative electronica, all with rich percussive textures and enchanting melodies…

One of the most talented producers from these areas is signing his first release for our label! It is our great pleasure to present you his EP called "The Call" in collaboration with the fantastic vocalist Elly Ball! In addition to the vocal original and instrumental version, Tebra, signs another song, "Rosa", which translated into English means "Dew"! The EP with two or three originals is accompanied by a fantastic remix of the Greek music producer DSF, on which we don't have to spend words of praise! All in all, one really strong release on The Purr!
