Mekong is a energetic tribalistic heater that is bossy from the start. Subtle driven stabs create a melody suitable for any dance floor. With enough tech to keep it groovin’, Los Cabra sustains a continuous build and release. All derived from layers of elements which, without a doubt, will attract your attention and make it easy to dance till the very end.

Our very own Noraj Cue brings a remix that is compelling, seductive, yet still raw at the same time. The right balance of build and progression keeps your head and body in motion. Seasoned with sounds from the original in combination with some timed randomness will maintain a steady development throughout. We always love Jaron's touch.

Futaleufu, a Mapudungun word meaning ‘Big River,’ starts with a driving kick that channels into a dark, rolling bassline. Elements of techno, and tribal percussion paves the way to this stream of mysteriousness and hypnotic spirit. This is what we’ve been waiting for. Give in.

And to top of the ep, Britta’s remix is a deep fusion of techno and grindy house with a sprinkle of acid. Her intricate layers of drum elements play perfectly off each other to provide an ‘elefante’ und elegante taste of minimal tech, that signature sound you and I so dearly love to hear from this Katerblau resident. Meoooow!

Guy Laliberté, Soul of Zoo - Into Your Tribe (Bedouin Remix)

Amour Propre brings us a melodic mix of afro and organic house tracks, with “Wait for me” EP. The original of this track, which gives the title to the EP, is a nice creation between afro and organic house, and enchants with the clean sweet melodies that come out quite early and give the strong character of this piece. DSF, on remix duty for this track, introduces a distinct captivating rhythm, and goes deep into the afro spirit. As the track evolves, DSF does his magic with its harmonies becoming more intense and chords leading the way. The other remixer for this great EP is Stephane Salerno, who offers yet another interesting interpretation for this piece, on the organic side. He introduces new instruments, for a deep and atmospheric experience, and a strong beat. “Mystic Tribe”, the second track of this EP starts with a strong afro rhythm which sets the tone, but it continues with mellow piano chords and an alluring vocal. Born and bred in Buenos Aires, Santiago Garcia has previously appeared on Human By Default as well as Innervisions, Warung Recordings, and Moblack. Returning to Bedouin’s label for the first time since the collaborative ‘Bay Of Skaill’ with the label bosses in 2020, the Argentinian drops a two-track EP featuring one original production and a collaboration with UNDERHER, an artist who has previously worked with Moby, Booka Shade, and Maya Jane Coles amongst others.

On the title cut ‘Nanana’, Santiago Garcia combines driving percussion, soaring pads, and spine-tingling build-ups for a propulsive opening track. Teaming up for the first time, the duo deliver plodding, downtempo drums and emotive vocals on ‘Still Can’t Find You’, resulting in a well-balanced and musically thrilling two-tracker.

Miguel Puente - Enki (Hyenah's Epic Afro Mix)

Midi Minds Kenya in conjunction with The Safari Collection, Backdrop Agency & Madorasindahouse travelled to Samburu National Conservancy to capture and highlight the musical identity of the Samburu warriors, women and children, in the form of a song based sample pack, a documentary format video, and a Various Artists music compilation (VA). 
This project is set out to raise awareness, financial ability and cultural highlight towards the Samburu tribe and community, through using selected Recordings for the production of this 19-track compilation. It features productions by Laolu, Armonica, Da Capo, Caiiro, Shimza, Sifa, Umami, KEENE, Klement Bonelli, XtetiQsoul and many more, as well as local Kenyan talent, such as Suraj, Saint Evo, Foozak & Dylan-S. 
After visiting the Westgate area of Samburu, and discussions with the community leaders, we found the most common day to day issue they face is lack of educational infrastructure. We firmly believe that this is a cause worth advocating for.
The community is not able to establish a sustainable educational system and that is why part of the proceedings will go towards building a class-room in the primary school and provide sustainable contributions to the teachers fund. The whole process will be part of a documentary that will be released along with the Compilation, in an event held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 30th of November 2019.
