Long before humans were able to count time in days, weeks, months and years, they measured their lives in seasons. Seasons come and go. They define, and help structure, our lives. When we think back, our memories from the past are often framed by the blazing colours of autumn’s leaves, or the warm kiss of a spring breeze.
Without seasons, time slips through our fingers more easily, and our experiences melt into one another. And summer is a special season. A time of freedom, of joy, of coming together. Summers are for journeys. Trips to new and exciting places. Adventures that play out under the heat of the sun, giving life to everything it touches. Exploration and experience, new sensations and new people. It made sense, therefore, to start our musical journey through the four seasons in this most-cherished period of the year: the summer.
Across the 10 tracks on this VA, we have collected a group of tracks that shimmer and buzz with the energy of long, brilliant nights under the stars, but which also capture the unhurried calm of a balmy, carefree summer’s afternoon. Turbolenz is back with their previously announced remix compilation of Levantine’s ‘Metropolis’ EP. The project is bringing together artists like VØSNE, Richard IV, and Ebrahimi, as well as a few new names.

Satori of labels such as Crosstown Rebels, 8bit, and Get Physical, is a special talent who brings live performance musicianship to a club environment to transform a sweaty dance floor into a modern concert hall. Showcasing a mystic style that blends ethnic melodies with uplifting pads and tribal beats.

Bringing together keyboards and other music making equipment, Satori makes tracks rather than plays them, which means to play music he likes from other people, he first must remix it into his own track.

Because of this, Satori has made a unique release in collaboration with Sol Selectas, which is one of his favourite labels.

Sabo granted Satori special access to the label's back catalogue so he could remix his favourite Sol Selectas tracks by artists including Namito, Matanza, Amine K, El Buho, Derun, and Sabo himself.

Also included on this nine-track album release are three brand new original works made by Satori himself.

idiosyncratic synth hooks, and danceable beat.

Acclaimed house music veteran, Joyce Muniz, adds a driving melodic house remix to the EP with an upbeat treatment which perfectly contrasts Lucie’s dreamy vocals with trippy synth lines and
edgy beats. As always, Joyce delivers another irresistible track that will call you to the dancefloor.

Beyond Now was written from a place where it feels as if we can only look into the world through a wall of glass. As if, existing within a vacuum, we feel prevented from moving on from the past to
be fully present in the now and striving for a future that we cannot reach. The main idea for Beyond Now emerged during a collaborative Songwriting session with Lucie, Hannes and Paul. Lucie had just emerged from an unhealthy relationship and wrote the lyrics
from this feeling of being stuck in the gaps between past, present and future.

Sacha Bodoukian aka HaZa is a multi-instrumentalist producer and DJ of deep melodic sounds.
