Perhaps one of the most prolific producers of the modern-day era, there is very little Stockholm’s Özgür Can hasn’t achieved during his decade and a half in electronic music. Having put out high profile releases on imprints such as Cocoon, Truesoul and Armada early on in his career he has displayed a wide musical remit. After keeping a low profile for a few years to further hone his craft, Özgür is back in business with this new project.
 
The lush 'Games' opens up with soft shakers and paddy drums that are perfectly warm and inviting. A gritty lead eventually takes over and slowly shifts up and down the scales but the deep and dubby techno effect remains. 'Botanikals' is equally gorgeous, with more soft drums laced up with dreamy pads and tinkling late-night keys that are filled with thoughtfulness.
 
Israeli artist Kadosh is a young and exciting artist who has had his emotive tracks played by Dixon and Ame, Solomun and John Digweed. He runs his own Frau Blau Music as well as releasing on Innervisions and Watergate. His fantastic remix of 'Games' is a little more direct but still comes with a cavernous and dubby bottom end and plenty of escapist leads that drift up into a cosmic night sky. Label boss Claudio Ricci then steps up to remix ‘Botanikals’, bringing plenty of depth to his late-night techno lullaby with its emotive keys and broad, sweeping chords.
 
This is tender and heartfelt techno of the highest order.

Anathema Records proudly presents the head-honcho & label boss debut EP 'Devotion' with 3 Original Fec's masterpieces.

Fec stands for Future Eternal Companion, referring to the ever eternal meaning of music that will last for all eternity. Based in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Fec has played in some of the most important venues of the area including Hardpop, which is one of the most important clubs in the country. Having released in the Bosnian label Submarine Vibes, Steyoyoke, KBD Records, Dialtone Records, Balkan Connection South America, WOOD (Spain), Mr.Moutarde, Chrom Recordings, and saving one of his best works to date for Anathema Records.

Remixes are crafted by Romanian-born DJ and Producer Mihnea Berechet AKA Himbrecht, French Producer / DJ Antoine Garcin AKA Acumen, and Zombies In Miami, fellow Mexicans project created by Canibal & Jenouise.

'Devotion' (Original Mix) is curated by Fec's signature atmospheric, organic, and melodic textures paced by a delightful kick. A subtle synth evolution complements the track and intertwines with deep emotive piano notes.

'Devotion' (Himbrecht Remix) outstands by Himbrecht's signature deep dark bassline adding a fresh tribal beat to the formula resulting in a roller coaster of symphonic synths and dynamic sounds.

'Lost in Memories' (Original Mix) kicks in with a steady-pumpy bass-line that integrates synth interchangeability between deep, melodic and emotive, all combined with arpeggios and eerie sounds.

'Lost in Memories' (Acumen Vision) is simply an Indie Dance game-changer. Antoine uses the whole track's canvas as his playground to defy the play-book laws by deconstructing and re-building harmonies, synths, and evolutions, paced by a fresh pumpy bass and cymbals while keeping the original melodic foundation.

'Valere' (Original Mix) is undeniable a summer track, kicking in with a dub-bassline then changing into a synth progression integrating subtle cymbals that dive into a deep-dark synth note. All the musical ingredients meet to emulate a virtual dancing.

'Valere' (Zombies in Miami Remix) is curated by Canibal's & Jenouise's dancefloor signature sound, adding a progression wave that crashes against the shores of tasteful melodic notes and fresh synths

The first V.A. sampler from Hyenah’s Watergate 27 mix is ready.

The DJ/producer is a renowned tastemaker, passionate about sounds from across the house spectrum. For his addition to the Watergate mix canon, he selects an inspiring range of artists, while highlighting emerging African and Afro Deutsch talent.

Amongst the exclusive collection of tracks is Kollektive Turmstrasse’s spiralling deep melodic makeover of Adana Twin ‘Jupiter’, while Sabb & Black Circle’s ‘Vega’ brings the uplifting piano house vibes. RISE crew member JAMIIE links with Stil Vor Talent associate Niko Schwind for ‘Suwedi’, a fascinating seven-minute trip that builds drama and intrigue in equal parts thanks to the soaring string break in the break. Emmanuel Satie collaborates with vocalist Nanghiti for ‘Forever More’ a startling track that will take your breath away, as delicate pads and strings amplify the emotion from Nanghiti’s unforgettable vocal. 

The ever-reliable Sascha Braemer delivers a pearl of a track with ‘No Way’, one of those cuts made for end-of-night moments, resplendent with tear-jerker vox. Rising South African artist Da Capo contributes one of those stirring, string-laden melodic house compositions that every DJ needs. Complimenting the emotion-charged energy of the sampler, Soweto’s Fka Mash has crafted ‘Hazel’, a beautiful chord-driven addition, that still packs plenty of low-end chunk with its percussion.
