Дослідження звуку 01- це аудіальний перформанс з використанням техніки польового запису. Ми запропонували аудиторії передивитися межі експериментальної музики і розібрали тему кастомізації саунду. 28 слухачів обрали один з наданих музичних інструменті/побутових речей і вилучили з нього звук, який був записан на рекордер. Ці семпли були трансформовані в лайв при використанні дігітальної луни. Також, будь-хто з аудиторії міг написати текст, що виводився на екран проектором. Цей текст виконувався вокально перформеркою. Таким чином, навички двох артистів наповнились сенсами і звуками, які продукувало 28 людей.

Co dokładnie dla Was przygotowaliśmy? Nie będzie to prosty kartonik z krótkim zapisem muzycznym. Album pt. „Astroenergoterapia Psychosonoryczna” ukaże się bowiem jako ekskluzywny box zawierający w pięknym pudełku 5 pocztówek dźwiękowych (każda z nich przyozdobiona osobną grafiką), booklet - instrukcję użytkowania oraz tajemniczy bonus 🙂 Będzie to prawdopodobnie pierwszy na Świecie album wydany na pocztówkach dźwiękowych!
Na 5 kartach znajdzie się w sumie 11 utworów. Album ukaże się też niezależnie w formacie kasetowym (wzbogaconym o 2 dodatkowe utwory).
Format boxa z pocztówkami naszym zdaniem idealnie wpasował się w twórczość Wiktora, który szansę połączenia swoich talentów muzycznych i graficznych wykorzystał w pełni. W warstwie audio usłyszymy około-ambientowe utwory w najlepszym lo-fi wydaniu, podzielone na 5 programów tematycznych: Zdrowie, Nauka, Pieniądze, Miłość i Trauma. Każdy z programów (pocztówek) ma inny nastrój i zadanie wywołania o słuchacza określonego stanu. 

Dodamy jeszcze tylko, że wyjątkową pracę wykonał też przy okazji tego wydawnictwa nasz wierny masteringowiec Stachy a.k.a. AV Limited, który wzbogacił brzmienie albumu, stosując w pełni analogowy mastering m.in. z wykorzystaniem magnetofonu Studer Revox i radzieckich lamp!

Jest to dla nas szczególnie wyjątkowe wydawnictwo, którego przygotowanie było dość skomplikowane i kosztowne, ale absolutnie chcieliśmy dać Wiktorowi platformę do realizacji własnych pomysłów, bo w nie mocno wierzymy. Jak widać na załączonym obrazku - było warto, bo wygląda to naprawdę niesamowicie i mamy nadzieję, że format pocztówkowy Wam również przypadnie do gustu!

We are incredibly pleased to welcome to the ranks of our label this multi-talented, multidisciplinary artist, whom you surely know from the Kraina Grzybow project, previous music releases or the latest video work entitled Indistinct Chatter.
Together we have created something wonderful for you, on which we have worked for a long time and the results of which we are proud 💪🏻 It will be an absolutely unique release, because with it we are bringing back after years a musical format that once, it is safe to say, reigned supreme in the home audioteques of Poles - vinyl postcards!

What exactly have we prepared for you? The album titled „Psychosonoric Astroenergotherapy” will be released as an exclusive box containing 5 vinyl postcards (each decorated with a separate graphic), a booklet - instructions of use and a mysterious bonus 🙂 This will probably be the world's first album released on vinyl postcards!

This is a particularly special release for us, the preparation of which was quite complicated and expensive, but we absolutely wanted to give Wiktor a platform to realize his own ideas, because we strongly believe in them. As you can see from the attached picture - it was worth it, because it looks really amazing and we hope that the vinyl postcard format will appeal to you as well!

Ukrainian Field Notes VA is a fundraising compilation with a difference, music with a backstory that gives a first-hand account of the unfolding events since the full-scale Russian invasion in real time, and presents an overview of the changing face of the Ukrainian music scene dictated by blackouts and curfew restrictions.

What started off as an ongoing series of interviews with Ukrainian artists for the experimental music website A Closer Listen has now become a book comprising all 170 interviews conducted over the course of a year mapping out the electronic and experimental scene in Ukraine.

All musicians involved were asked to submit a track composed after February 24, 2022 to mark its publication. The resulting material reflects the diaristic nature of the book and deals with PTSD, displacement, separation, and loss, and shows at the same time the strength and resilience of Ukrainian artists with a meditative and uplifting reach.

The track listing follows the chronological order of the interviews, switching from ambient and electronic to classical and experimental in a seemingly random fashion, but war is chaotic and shattering, or as Serhii Zhadan writes in Sky Above Kharkiv, “War sharply changes ways of seeing, changes feelings.” Ukrainian Field Notes is a testament to the shifting sonic and human landscape.

Ukrainian Field Notes VA - це благодійна фандрайзінгова компіляція, що відрізняється від інших, музика з передісторією, яка розповідає з перших вуст про події, що розгортаються з моменту повномасштабного російського вторгнення в режимі реального часу, і представляє огляд зміни обличчя української музичної сцени, продиктованої відключенням електроенергії та обмеженнями комендантської години.

Те, що починалося як серія інтерв'ю з українськими музикантами для сайту експериментальної музики A Closer Listen, тепер перетворилося на книгу, що містить усі 170 інтерв'ю, взятих протягом року, які окреслюють електронну та експериментальну сцену в Україні.

Щоб відзначити її публікацію, всім музикантам, які брали участь в інтерв'ю, було запропоновано надіслати трек, написаний після 24 лютого 2022 року. Отриманий матеріал відображає щоденниковий характер книги і стосується ПТСР, переміщення, розлуки та втрати, а також демонструє силу та стійкість українських митців з медитативним та піднесеним звучанням.

Трек-лист відповідає хронологічному порядку інтерв'ю, переходячи від ембієнту та електроніки до класики та експериментальної музики у, здавалося б, випадковий спосіб, але війна є хаотичною та руйнівною, або, як пише Сергій Жадан у "Небі над Харковом", "війна різко змінює способи бачення, змінює почуття". "Ukrainian Field Notes VA" - це свідчення мінливого звукового та людського ландшафту.

система | system presents "Weltschmerz" (from German - "the pain of the world"), the debut album of the Ukrainian Berlin-based artist Daria Veshtak, aka Sirakusy. "Weltschmerz" is a solid and impressive album full of classical melody structures and atonal, experimental, modern electronic genres such as psytrance, techno, and IDM. The album "Weltschmerz" turned out to be very artistic and rich, as the artist says - existential. Experiments and the search for her authentic style never allow the artist to submit to any particular genre, so eclecticism and unpredictability have become her main "feature". The artist herself calls the genre and style of her music "techno-ambient". Her academic background in music helps her to hear and extract melodies from various noises, which she finds most attractive in working on her material.

This album reflects the feelings experienced by the artist in the past year, 2022, transformed into artistic and musical images. Daria tried to create a parallel world where everyone could escape. This album is made up of musical material that was created in 2022 under the impression of the experience of encountering the War.

In "Weltschmerz" Sirakusy focuses on composing, creating melodies, designing sounds, and combining rhythms and textures. The artist's academic musical background influences her production, so the keyboard is one of her main instruments, as well as Ableton. Virtual synthesizers allow her to find different sounds to compose and arrange compositions, so, as Sirakusy says: "I can be called a digital instrumental musician :)"

The artist says she was encapsulated in herself and her work, abstracting herself from the world around her while writing her debut album "Weltschmerz". Sirakusy uses chorals by M. Leontovych and a Ukrainian church choir as the basis for some tracks, in which she found Ukrainian ethnic motifs that are dear to her. In general, this is a complete freestyle, both genre and composition.

Sirakusy makes her music very sincerely and, most importantly, in such a way that she enjoys it. Daria says that she doesn't follow the audience but invites listeners to trust and follow her on a journey through emotional waves and to find powerful feelings in themselves.
