2 Live Crew - One And One (Petko Turner Beach Club Mix) Re-Uplouded

I got the opportunity to officially remix this classic song to coincide with the release of a new Donny Hathaway box set. I was given the original multitrack master of the studio version (different from the live version)and it consisted of 8 different instrument and vocal tracks (as opposed to the more usual 24 tracks) 
When I take on a remix, my first goal is to make it work on a current dance floor. I like to stay very close to the originally recorded sound and In most case there's plenty to be reworked on the multitrack master to achieve this. 
This case proved a little different as there were few rhythm elements I could use to fit within current standards of club loudness levels. So I decided to take a slightly different approach, and add a new set of (acoustic) drums,  to bend the original Soul vibe a little towards Disco territory.

Welcome to this months FREE track. :-) This track started off as a Queen/David Bowie Remix but ended up being something completely different. Vanilla Ice sampled the Queen/David Bowie song Under Pressure in his well known and cheesy tune Ice Ice Baby and as you can guess when you put the two together they both work quite well. This tune isn't really a mashup of sorts as i managed to get the stems to both tunes and of course i have added various other elements, beat, bass, hi hits, fx, etc. I hope you dig it !

In my edit of "Was that all it was" I got rid of the somewhat outdated chorus, in favour of the hypnotising grooves of the verses. Let me know what you think!
