Enter Kyogre, New Yorks answer to the UK Bassline sound.

Debuting on RENKIE with a stellar 4 track EP titled 'Simple', Kyogre provides us with 'Rats', 'Azimuth', 'Simple' & 'Watch This', a collection of dark, heavyweight Bass anthems.

'Rats' is an all-out attack on your sound system. Lead by it's thumping kick and rough lead melodies, Kyogre dusts this one in an incredible selection of ear candy detail and fx.

Showing off his incredible signature sound, he invites 1997 to collaborate on 'Azimuth', track 2 of the project.

Track 3 see's us take a visit to the projects lead track 'Simple'. This is an unexpected shift in style from the rising star with the mood going even darker in to the depths, focusing on a more minimal structure and atmosphere, yet still packing that punch we've come to expect from Kyogre.

Closing out the project is 'Watch This', a groovy nod to UK Garage that's filled with off-beat percussion and distorted bass knocks.

In June 2015 we launched the Night Bass label, and that was the last time bass house pioneer Chris Lorenzo graced our catalog with his untouchable production. @SmalltownDJs and @rrotik bless @NightBassRecords with their “Love Is Gone” EP. These Calgary legends present us with a brilliantly unique 3-tracker, calling upon rrotik and @Taiki-Nulight-uk for a remix. First up is title track collab with rrotik, a fantasy provoking mix of emotionally-charged vocals alongside shuffling synth work that sends you into the psytrance-like rhythms of “Wake Up”, another rrotik collaboration and a refreshing addition to the Night Bass discography. Rounding off the EP, Taiki Nulight splices up “Love is Gone” into a whole new production, adding his signature sound and darkening it up a bit. This is one of the most versatile releases we’ve seen on Night Bass in a while!
