When I first found Sébastien’s music on Soundcloud about 18 months ago, I knew I had struck gold.  He sent me “Ana” to try out and it became my most played record of 2012. It was released as part of CLOUDED 010 – The Clouded Vision Experiment, which has since received critical acclaim from across the globe.

Upon asking him for more tracks throughout the latter part of 2012, he became prolific at catering to my tastes.  The title track from his debut EP, “Freaking Slowly” has become my most sought after secret weapon from a number of DJ’s, bloggers and dancers.  

Based in the south of France, Sébastien has been a resident DJ at the Bindy Club in Pau, where he has played alongside some of the most renowned artists of the French scene, including Chloé, Ivan Smagghe and Jennifer Cardini.  

Sébastien has developed a sound that is melodic, powerful and elegant.  Each track builds into a crescendo, without ever needing to be forceful or abrasive.  I wanted one remix, something totally different and the one act I had in mind was Red Axes.  I met them both recently in Tel Aviv and we talked about remixes for the label and they soon came up trumps.  By re-playing the entire track with live drums and guitars, Red Axes and have turned “Ana” into a low-slung techno-rockabilly dance floor gem.
