Medium Rare Recordings are delighted to release 'Trying' from one of their very own founders Benson. This is the first from Benson through his boutique label, in what MRR unbiasedly and biasedly believes is his finest work yet.

Off the back of his ARIA Club Chart #1 'Step To Me', Benson teams up with fellow Melbournite Yeo to bring us a bonafide anthem. Having previously featured on collaborations such as Hermitude's ARIA Chart #1 'Searchlight' and producing Asta's EP Shine. This will be the first feature track from Yeo ahead of collaborative album to be released later this year.

'Trying' is a melodic and melancholic number with a euphoric vocal that takes you on a roller coaster of emotions throughout its magical journey

The beginnings of the Politeca project date back to early 2006 when it's originators, Andy Holt & Dave Gardner, had an idea to infuse their shared love of Detroit techno with a visual theme revolving around their recent discoveries of how the world REALLY worked through documentaries & movies such as Peter Joseph's 'Zetigeist', Jacque Fresco's 'Future By Design' and Stephen Gaghan's 'Syriana' to name a few. 

'Reverso', with it's accompanying imagery, is a plea to undo some of the steps we've taken as a race - a sense that we've walked too far down the wrong path and we need to check ourselves before we really go too far - slam the machine into reverse if you will. 

'Reverso', in all it's audio glory, is a string-laden UR-inspired techno slammer. 

The original brings you a mountain of drum percussion locked together by a Detroit string hook. A confident bassline continues the story until the string crescendo leaving you suitable impressed. 

Matthias Vogt delivers a patient calculated version focusing on the main characteristics of the piece weaving the string laden melodies perfectly. 

Ricky Ryan & Kosmas houseify the elements with funk fused percussion and Kosmic pad manipulation with the understanding that the lid must be kept on at ALL times. 

Vince Watson drives the percussive beats reminiscent of 'French Kiss' before leading you down dark alleyways of ethno percussion.

With Releases on Labels such as Glasgow Underground, Simma Black/Red, Audio Rehab, Freakin’ 909 & Safe Music,  2017 kicked off with their Release on Safe Music ”Body Pump” reaching #8 On traxsource in their singles chart

Their sets range from a Tech House set of four to the floor tracks, to Bass House, Garage & anything they feel necessary. The crowd never leaves a gig of theirs surprised and wanting more. Something which has driven to the duo to Super clubs such as Sankeys MCR & Ibiza, Ministry of Sound London, Custard Factory Birmingham.
