This is my first release in a while, and the first time I am coming out of my singing-closet and doing vocals. Here we go! And expect more to come soon.

This EP was created with the winners of my remix-competition around this track. So big shout out to joelmansour, Chat Bavard, and Steknika for winning and contributing such wonderful remixes. And also a HUGE shout out and thanks to the Bad Snacks discord community, Bad Snacks herself and my own discord community, as well as the Dresage-Discord, and the Annie Elites Discord.

My entry for the Metapop remix contest of Dear Evergreen's track "Temporary".

The original track already has such great vibe, and minimalistic instrumentation, so I wanted to make something a bit unusual that still captures the intimacy and closeness of the vocal, but also reflects that grit and darkness in the lyrics a little. Something felt but ambivalent and well....temporary.

Alvinos Zavlis - In My Dreams Cloudjumper Remix

This was originally my song for the first week of "Weekly Beats" (http://weeklybeats.com/#/). Sadly I got to caught up in finishing it and missed the deadline by 5 min. ^^ The track was entirely made with my #push in #Ableton #live 9 and with the "the forge" Pack by #Hecq and is in a way my tribute to him as one of my major inspirations. 

Sadly I never got to meet him while I was living in Berlin but maybe the time will come :)

Cloudjumper - late, too late

This Track was written after the release of "Global Swarm", and features mostly sounds from "Global Swarm" with some small "underpainting" from Spitfire Audio - Orchestral Swarm and Chamber Evolutions.

This was my first time ever contributing to a Sample Library, even if it was just a few notes, and I just love this project and this community, so I had to write a little piece showcasing it.

Bio:
Cloudjumper is the musical project of German musician, producer, composer and educator Merlin Györy. From his beginnings as a DJ in the lively club scene in Berlin in the early 2000’s, he draws inspiration from an eclectic background of influences -- Cloudjumper loves to “jump” from genre to genre. His music reflects that love of creative amalgamation, as a mix of bedroom pop and instrumental music, with strong influences from earlier explorations of experimental ambient, hip hop, and electronic music, and the occasional hint of classical elements.

As Cloudjumper, Györy has written and produced two albums, the most recent being Memories of Snow (2016); one live LP  (Push it - Live, 2014); three EP’s, and several singles  and remixes. He has performed live both in Europe and North America. Cloudjumper’s newest single/EP,  Dark Days Will Pass, was released in July 2021, staying in the Cool TOP20 chart for 7 weeks. It has been featured on several curated Spotify playlists.

Györy’s ethos as an artist is about building cultures of creative collaboration and supporting creative communities. In this spirit, he has developed a large body of music under a creative commons license, used in hundreds of videos across YouTube, Vimeo and other online platforms. He himself is grateful for the ongoing support of a generous community of artists and creatives, having had the pleasure and fortune to work alongside and learn from incredible people like Ben Burtt, Joe Kraemer, Youki Yamamoto, Than van Nispen, Yoan Laulan, Gareth Coker, Keeley Bumford, Bad Snacks, Franz Zimmer and many more inspiring artists and creatives.

In tandem with his work as an artist, Györy has worked as a composer, especially in the world of video games. He has collaborated with video game studios Threaks (creators of Beat Buddy, All I Have Is Time, Battle Planet), Motion Twin (Dead Cells), Fjord Games (Dusk of D.A.W.N.), and  Tiny Roar (Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry, Bomb Bots Arena). 

He founded the Game Audio Meetup in Hamburg, a community dedicated to raising awareness about the craft of composition for video games, and to mutual support for composers. In this capacity, Györy has held teaching and speaking engagements on the psychology and application of video game audio, at Gamescom, Respawn, Soundtrack Cologne, Play Festival Hamburg, University of Applied Sciences Mittweida, University of Applied Sciences Hamburg, SAE Institute. He taught a Game Audio Masterclass at the 2017 International Summer Academy for Film Music, Game Music and Sound Design, hosted by Media Sound Hamburg (MSH).
