A heart that aches, under the rain

Through stormy skies, with thunder's might
A voice cries out, from endless night

In the distance, the chains still rattle
A broken heart fights, an endless battle

The echoes of dreams, like whispers in the night
A dissonant symphony, of fading light.
In the yawning dark, tears crystallize
But a voice persists, in stormy skies.

Across barren lands, where hope is frail
The spirit rises, a ship under sail.
Casting shadows on hope, with all their might
But a voice still cries, through endless night.

Through the haze, where the stars align
A flicker of truth, in the chaos divine
The fires burn bright, in the heart of the storm
Where courage is born, and a spirit is transformed
On this road of crimson sorrow.
We carve our way to a new tomorrow
The scars we bear, like tales of old
In the steel-cold night's relentless hold.

Yesterday morning I went for a walk with my dog Lia on a small path in the forest to a small village in the Umeå archipelago. It had been -5 degress all night so the grass was covered by rime frost and the differances of tempetures from the ground and air created small fog banks that made an incredible nice texture. I recorded some small parts of the long walk and decided to make a track of it.

Absence of Light

On croit bien faire en offrant des présents mais le présent
Ne pardonne pas tous les élans du cœur 
Même s'il part d'un bon sentiment
Au départ on efface quelques traces
Mais le temps de briser la glace on se retrouve dans l'impasse 
Dans laquelle on passe du temps à ressasser le passé
En marche arrière mais la barrière derrière est dépassée 

Depuis déjà longtemps on était bêtes et méchants  
Voilà pourquoi les tourments reviennent nous hanter souvent 

Alors on pleure empêtrés dans la douleur
D'une pièce remplie de souvenirs où l'on délire où l'on dérive 
Attendant que l'amour arrive mais la vie n'est pas un livre
Qu'on peut relire dès le début vu que les pages ont disparu 

Depuis tellement longtemps qu'on ne compte plus les printemps  
Si bien qu'on devient distant hermétique même au beau temps 

Insensibles aux rencontres nouvelles puisque la montre 
Est restée bloquée à l'époque où l'on marchait en nombre 
Désormais dans l'ombre on survit et ne s'encombre 
Plus du va-et-vient des personnes futiles aux dents longues 

Depuis vraiment longtemps qu'on perd la notion du temps 
Replié dès à présent sur soi on pense au présent 

Plongés dans d'importunes difficultés qu'aucune 
Solution ne peut apaiser car elles sont une brume 
Sortant les soirs de lune où l'âme à demi-mot 
A du mal à s'en défaire car on n'a plus les mots 

Depuis déjà longtemps qu'on désire principalement 
Éviter tous ces moments qui nous touchent profondément  

À l'image des critiques rencontrées dans les parages 
Où gravitent les nuages derrière de sombres visages 
Nécessitant du courage pour affronter les barrages 
Que certains érigent en masse nous faisant taire au passage 

Depuis tellement longtemps l'humain est si décevant 
Qu'il se réfugie souvent derrière tous ces faux-semblants  

Réduisant au silence les quelques présents qu'on ose 
Faire aux autres de manière sincère qui métamorphose 
Les rapports entre nous avec parfois peu de chose 
Mais qui réchauffe le cœur même si la vie n'est pas rose 

Depuis vraiment longtemps j'ai rêvé d'un monde enfant 
Rayonnant puis apaisant qu'il faut construire à présent

2. Itchy Fingers : hornpipe penned by Pipe Major Robert Pinkman.
I've arranged these tunes by creating an electro-oriented atmosphere.
