i understand the lyrics, but where are you going with them? what's the point? you don't really get there. and what's with the tempo shift? what's the purpose? what are you trying to evoke with the acceleration? i confess i'm partial to the '07 vibe, but it's way too derivative. tell YOUR story - it sounds like somebody's got one. you think Robert Plant didn't live the stories he told? or Sammy Hagar? that stuff stuck around because it was a story that made sense, that came from an emotional place. you guys have potential, but i'm not getting in just yet. keep working on it. you could have a really powerful sound if the lyrics are right, and the guitar stays high octane like you have it here.

Over the past three years, Nots has been writing, recording and playing in Memphis, Tennessee. A longtime collaboration between Natalie Hoffmann (guitar) and Charlotte Watson (drums), Nots has evolved into it's wildest incarnation yet. Featuring Madison Farmer on bass and Alexandra Eastburn on synthesizer, Nots follow up their first two singles on Goner Records with their guitar-driven, synth-laden debut LP "We are Nots." Recorded in the summer of 2014 in Memphis by Doug Easley, "We Are Nots" is OUT now on Goner Records.

Maverick DJ/producer Riva Starr burst on to the house music scene in 2009, impressing a wide variety of fans with his cheeky productions and remixes which straddled genres, tempos and geographical inspirations. Now the man born Stefano Miele is pleased to announce the release of ‘Absence’, the first single from his forthcoming sophomore album ‘Hand in Hand’.

‘Absence’ shows off Riva Starr’s indie background and is probably his most mature work to date. Mixed by Ash Workmann of Metronomy fame, this quirky love song features vocals by ex-The Research singer Russell Searle. Initially drafted in with the sole intention of penning a few top-lines, his quirky infectious interpretation soon conquered all, and so RSSLL came to be.

The video for ‘Absence’ comes from Milan-based director Virgilio Villoresi, an award winning “artisan” filmmaker whose bizarre influences (from Polish animators to US underground arts) are clearly reflected in the intriguing final product.

Throughout 2012, Riva Starr graced venues such as Manchester’s Warehouse Project, Watergate (Berlin), ElRow (Barcelona) as well as hosting his “Snatch! Records” tent at Creamfields and Tomorrowland. Check him out on the 15th of February at a rare Fabric appearance.

With the release of ‘Hand In Hand’ this summer, 2013 is set to be an even bigger year for Riva – watch this space…

When we were told we could pick any Orlando Voorn classic to remix, we immediately knew we HAD to remix 'In Da Jungle'. 

So we got remixing and came up with this tribal affair which seems to get down pretty well in our sets. Not that intro and a drop after a minute stuff, but an old school vibe with classic slow build ups that hopefully does some justice to the amazing original.
