I Fight Dragons - Not I (Ukulele and 8-Bit Keytar cover)

The first track from my upcoming album, before vocals have been recorded. Midi guide track vocals have been kept in to aid the flow of the song. Some parts (notably the lead guitar) may yet be re-recorded, and vocals/harmonies/strings(?) also need recording, and the whole lot needs a proper mix.

Track 1 (Work in Progress)

Just messing about with an electric ukulele and logarhythm - both put through MainStage, added a modified warped Space Wah effect to the uke and lots of reverb and some other stuff to the log, with a hint of bit crushing for good measure, then played the uke with a pen and mesed about with a couple of chords.

Nothing really resembling an actual piece of music, but I like the sounds I've made, so who knows, they might be recycled in the future...

My first experiment using LSDJ - mostly just me trying to get to grips with the interface, some slight experimentation with instruments (there should be some stuff with panning, but I had to record in mono - working on that)

The main bulk of my upcoming cover of The Postal Service's Such Great Heights. Created using LSDJ, on the various train journeys I've had to take over the past month. There will be vocals and a bit of ukulele in the finished thing. There will obviously be more production to it once the other elements are added.

This piece was composed by myself, Luke Anthony and Louis Crump as part of "The Changing Artist" - a module taken in our first year of university, studying music at University College Falmouth.

The brief was to compose a short work (5-7 minutes) in a trio of musicians playing instruments of the same family, and this is the result we came up with.
The audio is taken from the live performance we gave at the end of the module.
