Pretty much, smashing rappers skulls in is as easy and pleasing to me as most sexual acts are. Tipsy off that plaid pantry wine i finished this up days before my deadline to turn the album over to Fieldwerk. Like Lowerface, a song from my debut record, this was the only song on the record I didn't record in the sound booth. I recorded it sitting down at the flight deck.

Though I sample Malcolm X talking about Revolution being violent, I personally don't advocate physical violence as the first or only option in expressing needs for Human Rights.

The Ins and Outs of the Female Reproductive System

I had a reggae type song i wanted to do and it got canned due to my lack of production skills. This beat here was supposed to be the intro and outro to the original song.

This was supposed to be a topic I wanted to cover with a album that I was going to work on with X:144. We joked about our hair loss and joked about wanting to have the album be called 'Recede'. Realizing the comedic potential in the topic, I secretly planned on writing a song about the issue and here it is.

Hairline Fracture

This beat came to me the day the album was getting mastered. I had recorded over it a month before  but didnt think i would get a chance to use it.

I love the title, love the beat. There is a legendary Orlando Hip Hop group called N.I.T.E. One of the last songs they made together was called 'Womp Womp'. I have pulled from rhymes off that song for many years.  While employing The Metal Jerk rhyme technique I found myself saying my hook in the same notes that they were said on a hook on Womp Womp. My version is no where near as clean or dope as theirs is but I like it. Fits the narrative. Yes. I had to borrow money from my brother to pay for this beat. I told my brother that I would only take the money if he liked the song. ( A lie, bold, but a lie). He listened and wrote back with 'IT'S LOVELY, do it.'  awesome. Felt great. That is the same word I would use to describe it. 

This is the first song that I feel my childhood in every time I kick a verse. I talk about capturing those bugs that use to light up the sky, in a jar. THe pet turtle shit is actual as well. His name was Bubba and i cried when my father drove us to the woods in virginia and had me let him go. Never seen a turtle smile til then. He pushed himself out of my small hands and ran to his home. It was a huge lesson for me. Virginia is also the first time I have ever seen rain in the day time along with sunshine. I mean bright sun and rain. I didnt know that shit was possible until it happened. Youth. Speaking of which some  the rhymes off this shit are from a song I did as a teenager called 'Cold or Hot'.

I often get called a pessimist (or something similar) when I tell people what the future most likely holds for me as far as  being popular as a rapper. I am also the only one in these conversations that has usually read the most about the current music business climate and been eyeing the trends hard the one actually in the shit. Outside eyes and ears are still mandatory. Although, even discussing these matters with very popular musicians, some in similar situations, they seem to share my sentiment.

Mr. Jeigh wanted me to do something like Aceyalones "I think", on this record. After many failures on my part I discovered the song may be in 3/4ths thus the rhymes we wanted on it were almost impossible to write to the beat. For now.

Like The Ins and Outs and a few other songs I have done.... most of my songs that seem to be about sex are also usually about my choice to remain free of a union based off of physical attraction. More importantly these songs are often about having uncompromising artistic standards amongst ones peers and abroad. Having enough integrity and diligence to speak honestly and objectively about things is a task that requires vigilant consistency.
